Any one know the hp and torque numbers a guy can expect out of a good running 3000 rpm 466 with a 3lm and a 10ml a pump? Know there was one from SD on the dyno lately so someone must know. |

This is not good. We don't ever touch ours and we are running against guys that have gone to the dyno. Guess that is why we are always so far from first. |

Just one of the reasons $7.00 corn is hurting everyone else. Some have plenty to spend and they don't like the challenge to figure out there motors them selves. |

yeah

Those of us going to the dyno went when corn was 2.00, learning how to make power beating people you then, just like we're going to be beating you now! Fact being some people know how win and others like you know how to piss and moan. |

open farmer and builder i'm with you both. the old man and i have yet to dyno. now have a 466. we just tinkered the last 2 years wrote down everything we did on the 436 and learned for ourselves. asked questions and alot of them. just because it performs on the dyno doesn't mean its gonna perform on the track. because if you can't balance the tractor with weight and drive it, it doesn't matter how much you spent on the motor. you learn more i think when you do it yourself. would a dyno be nice? yeah, but you don't need it to make a motor turn on.

Doesn't anyone believe that you can win without cheating? What ever happen to good old mechanicing and some smarts to make a pulling vehicle perform. You know I may not have the most competative tractor out there on the track but you can damn sure bet that I've ask questions about different things from turbos to tires and have applied that to my machine and I can honestly say that I have made it perform. Once in awhile I'll pull off a win and it feel damn good to know that I put it together. Don't forget that if there isn't a rule for or against it then it's not cheating. Oops sorry, I didn't mean to get off on that issue so let's get back on the hp question. |

500hp and still couldn't compete huh, better try something different. I'd really like to know some real numbers for a 466 3LM, 10ml a pump. Hell I just a couple years ago pulled our BONE stock 4440, except 3lm turbo and front half of 55 series exhaust manifold and pump screw turned in a few turns, in this class i didn't come close to winning but wasn't always last either. I doubt i have any where close to 500 horse but could pull C-3 without powering out. Put all the parts back on it and ran a @#$%& pump the rest of the year too. Edited 1 time(s).
