I talked to St Joe Diesel on a setup about like this and he was talking about a hx50, but did not mention exhaust housing size or pump timing.

Call Columbus Diesel 1-800-818-7867 and talk to Mark Massey.

going to be hard to keep a 50 lit with that ci and rpm combo no matter the exhaust housing. i'd say cube up or get use to getting beat

"Help is Here" you are false!! 359 cu cummins will spool that charger all day long. Guys are running 2.6 chargers like a HX55 or s465 with 3000rpms. They are spooling them at 2200 rpm!

Re: fuel and turbo May 11, 2011 04:00AM
Look, put a Hx50 on it. It will lite, but it will pull under on the big end. As for the 2.6 trucks, they aren't limited to 3,000rpms. Most of them come down the track at 4,000+rpms. Thats how they keep Hx50's and 55's lit. Also, any 2.6 truck using a 50 or 55 is light years behind the competetion. Now most 2.6 guys are running clipped S400's or Garrett's.
