Need some opinions on reusing copper head gaskets..I've heard to either heat it up or use copper coat...Its on a dry block-head alky burner..

i heat mine up and reuse it,probably been done 50 times with no problem

What is the reason for heating them up and how do you do it ??

have used the simple mans system many times! coat the copper with the soot of a pure acetylene flame, then heat surface with a neutral flame until soot disappears,let cool on it's own.works on aluminum too but must be careful with final heat or you will burn through! been there done that!
