Reusing Copper Head Gaskets

Need some opinions on reusing copper head gaskets..I've heard to either heat it up or use copper coat...Its on a dry block-head alky burner.. |

i heat mine up and reuse it,probably been done 50 times with no problem |

have used the simple mans system many times! coat the copper with the soot of a pure acetylene flame, then heat surface with a neutral flame until soot disappears,let cool on it's own.works on aluminum too but must be careful with final heat or you will burn through! been there done that! |
