NTPA region V pull at Knoxville racetrack in July Check schedule www.ntpapull.com |
Re: Des Moines Area Pulls

That is on their Jan tenative schedule, but on their May schedule it's not on there. We used to pull there years ago but the Super Modified racers said we put holes in the track and it ruined the track. They need to do something because they aren't filling the stands like they used to. It is a hell of a track, be a good pull. |

Another option is;
midwestpullers.info 4x4 trucks and some 2wd's that usually pull within 50 mile radius of Des Moines. |

2wd is small cubic inch, carb. engines with street tires, except can run 34" cepeks in "open" class.
"Stock" chassis but can run planetary rears and quick change transmissions. "Stock" wheelbase with % of hitch length like the 4wd guys run, AND 26" hitch height. So you could see a short box 2wd run against a Ford Camper Special extended cab. Not that anyone is building one you understand, just an example, since the camper specials were 60" C/A. Most "normal" pickups would be 54 or 56" C/A. Just sayin' Open 4wd is very open, no c.i. limit, no blower limit, Not sure if a feller could run 18.4-16.1's in the open class or not,,,,,, |

My in-laws live in Clinton, Iowa on the Central Eastern border, on the Mississippi. Are there any pulls near there? I went to Miles, Ia. during their Thresher days last year, they ended up getting rained out. Is there a specific club or organization within and hour or two of that area? I could use the help finding a get-away. Thanks in advance! |
