Farm stock pullers in Kentucky (Invitation to Indiana pull) June 05, 2011 09:17AM
I'd like to invite you bluegrass residents to the Bartholomew Co. Fair pull in Columbus, IN on Sunday July 10 at 6:30 PM.
The fairgrounds are about 5 minutes away from I-65, making it an easy trip.

The 4 classes are:

11,500 lb 10mph
11,500 open (No 5020/6030)
13,000 lb 12mph
13,000 open

There has been some controversy when Kentucky pullers have come to Indiana for farm stock pulls. It looks like the promotors have made an effort to find classes most guys can be competitive in (as long as they didn't just hose it off after planting corn and drive it to the pull, lol).

At last year's event, there were a bunch of big green ones, but in the two mph classes I saw, it was red ones with smaller motors that won. The 11500 open without the 5020/6030s should make it interesting. And of course, the 6030s can open 'em up in the 13000 open class

Rules from the fair website are:

Rules:
1. 20.8 inch tire size – no cut tires
2. One hook per class per tractor
3. Drawbar height 20 inches with 3 inch opening, 18 inches from center of axle.
4. Driver must be 16 years of age.
5. Absolutely no drugs or alcoholic beverages allowed.
6. Top 5 tractors in each class will have rpms checked. The entered driver must be in the seat when checked.
7. No nitrous or alcohol – diesel only.
8. Flagman and track committee decision is final.
9. Must run MPH class to run open class.
10. 3000 rpm limit (all classes)
