The Mound City Rural Firemen held a meeting sat. june 25 and have decided due to the flood disaster ongoing in Holt Co. to cancel the tractor pull that was to be held July 2. Many families have been displaced from their homes, and thousands of acres of cropland are under water due to this disaster.

There is no relief in sight at this time, they are saying this flooding could go on till fall. Based on this the Firemen made their decision. They plan on being back next year bigger and better.

Thanks for the info. Sometimes other things are a lot more important than tractor pulling. Outlaws had to cancel the Diamond pull due to the tornado nearby in Joplin that displaced thousands of people and will take all summer to clean up and years to rebuild.
