Just curious as to who some of the better builders are for. Red 466. Built the current motor myself and it runs ok but just not in the top couple tractors. What's a solid consistant motor cost? Even just someone to call and talk to would be nice.. Thanks

Shouldn't need someone to build one what kind of pump and turbo you you have. I now lots of guys that just switched the cam and put good turbos and pumps on and they run good.

3 by 4 p pump open rpms. it runs good just not as good as the top couple runners.instead of bein 30 foot back i would like to only be 10 foot back haha.

How many cc of fuel, does the pump have a quick cam, its not to hard to get a 466 running good just have to get the right set up

Give Scott Muller a call, did a great job on my IH, has a dyno to get it dialed in, and is located in central Mn. His helper Doc. is great.

Well might be easy to get to run alright but if you wanna be at the top your gonna need good combination and acsess to a dyno. If it were me I'd talk to Chris Pichler in mondovi, WI or Bill Daluge Buffalo, MN they both have very good running 466 tractors with alot of experience.

Young vet do what you want. But my two cents are go with Chris Pickler he willl make your tractor run!!! Hypermax will just take your money and you will still be 30ft back. Let hypermax build prostocks and superstocks!!!!

That makes it simple to figure the cost to get to the front. IF you are 30 ft behind the leaders it only costs $1000 per foot to get to the front. So need to ask your your banker for $30,000 and tell him then you can win all the money!!!

Wheres a good place to get a Deere 466 built to be at the top of the class. Same class rules as young vet was talking about.

If i was going to build a deere I would call Joe Busch at Busch ag repair in Boone IA. I have seen lots of 466 come out of his shop that run very well. Big charger, gt 42 and 3000 rpm tractors, he does them all. Been following the western Iowa group forever and have never seen one of his engines have major engine failure.

i totely agree with vorwald for building a 466 and also even bigger cube engines. they sure now how to put them together, i got to say though, my first pick out of that stable is the barnyard banshee...when this thing spools up it sends shivers down my spine!!!!!!the way that thing screams, that aint no $30,OOO your talkin 6Ok plus.
