new castle pull July 08, 2011 04:57AM
was at new castle pull last nite, seen a 1066 hoosier tracotr there in the 11000hot farm. had saddle tanks under the belly and he was putting ice cubes in them. anyone know why he was doing this? is it to keep engine from overheating??

It is for an intercooler. The 4320 has one as well. It helps keep the engine cooler and makes more power. Intercoolers are a WIN WIN for pullers if they could only realise that 40yr old technology is worth adopting.
