Go pro camera July 12, 2011 02:00PM
Is the go pro hero 1080 the one everyone is using? Looking for one that would take good video.

Thanks

Depends what you wanting to do with it. I use the 960P one because you get a more vertical viewing area so you mount it on a roll cage, you can see the tires and what braking is going on as well as the track. It is also cheaper.

That is the camera I bought.. (the 1080) I also bought the Roll bar mount.. It has the different modes that Jesse mentioned so you don't have to run in 1080.. the battery is good for about 2 1/2hrs.. I haven't run it continious for 2 1/2hrs.. but I'm guessing U will use about 16G of space in the 2 hrs.. but you can use a 32G card.. (I just bought a 16G card, because of the battery life.) There has been talk of them offering an additional battery.

The file size is just large.

You will want the suction cup mount.. I didn't have time to get a good mounting location, on my tractor the first time, so I just stuck it on the hood.. You'll want the bar mount.

I lost the quality on this one when I used an editing software that was on my computer..

No lack of power on the ol' Johnny Popper. You need to invest in a set of 30.5 Puller 2000's.
