I have seen on here from time to time a 3000 RPM tractor, engine, or pump for sale how is the class regulated, by tach, pump settings, or on the "honour" system |

I run in a 3000 rpm class in Mo. We use a sled tach to record the run while pulling. It's not a 100% answer but it's a lot better that any other option. It does have some issues but still better that the (haha) honor system. |

How exactly do you guys tach the class? Do you guys use a RPM box? |

We simply have an additional crank sensor that records the RPMs, there is a plug at the back of the tractor (looks like a 110v outlet), the sled has a data logger that records the RPMs throughout the pull. Equipment is made by Datalog. |
