Agree, there need to be true competition or Facebook's censorship will continue to get worse. I also think the social media giants are only afraid of one thing, people leaving and moving to another platform and it effecting their stock. Facebook and Twitter aren't scared of the government because they are in bed with them and they are protecting each other. They only thing that scares them is lots of people leaving. I've never been a fan of social media but I did sign up for a mewe account just to help them grow their numbers. Jake Morgan Owner, PULLOFF.COM Independent Pulling News This page is a free service. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal. |

Wondering
|
I was speaking with a FB user today about the new platforms. I was told that the new platforms were not secure and one of them already shutdown due to being infiltrated. I wonder if the FBs and Twitters have their own team of hacks to disrupt the newcomers? I wouldn't put it past them!! |

There are a ton of rumors going around right now. One rumor is that mewe is owned by Zuckerburg's wife, one says they sell your data, rumors of hacks, rumors of hate speech, etc... most of the rumors are just disinformation. Facebook and Twitter already harvest and sell data or access to data, mewe claims to be different but there's no way to know for sure on any of them. Jake I tried to copy and paste Mark Weinstien's post here that I just sent you in a private message on mewe. For some reason I couldn't do it. Thanks again for letting me know about mewe. |

Face in crowd

Wasn't mewe the app that the guy who started the "Q" movement tried to go to before he was arrested for child porn? Haven't heard much from him lately and you know how rumors are. |

I don't know much about the whole QAnon thing so I did some quick research... this is a quick summary from a NY post article:
The Q movement started on some messageboard called 4chan and then 8chan. The movement has exploded on social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. In October 2020, Facebook and Instagram moved to ban all QAnon accounts. Facebook said it removed more than 790 groups, 100 pages and 1,500 ads linked to the conspiracy theorist movement. YouTube announced a similar crackdown shortly after. TikTok has also banned a number of QAnon hashtags and Reddit has also removed QAnon communities. I didn't find any mention of mewe in that or a few other articles. Facebook and Twitter seem to be the places where all these things grow and somehow they constantly get to pass blame to every other social media network. I don't know much about mewe (or any other social media network really, I don't find them worth the effort) but I do know that true competition is better for the average man and Facebook and Twitter need some real competition.
