51st state January 06, 2025 12:52PM
What are the thoughts on making Canada the 51st state. My opinion 51 threw 60 each of the 10 provinces becoming a state would be more likely. Buying Greenland? Taking back the panama canal? I realize the likelihood of any of this happening is near zero, but old Justin Trudeau did just resign, so maybe anything truly is possible. What are pulloffs' thoughts?

I'm thinking we just take Canada up on it offer to buy Washington, Oregon, and California, then the liberals can waller in there bad politics together, and the rest of us can use common sense.

Trump has the MSM chasing these stories while the real agenda is being pursued. He has the laser, and the press are the cats chasing it.

I laughed when I watched Trump explain how we should rename the Gulf of Mexico. the media is in for a wild ride.

Re: Trump's Trolling January 11, 2025 05:33AM
Trump trolling Trudeau... I mean Turdeau and calling him Governor was one of the best trolls of all time, just totally disrespected him for the beta-male he is. That disrespect on the World stage had to be a factor that helped pressure Turdeau to resign.

As far as the Panama Canal is concerned... it's too small for modern ocean freighters. We should be threatening Panama that the US will build a new Canal in either: Nicaragua, Mexico, or Columbia. Put the pressure on Panama to lower rates or give control back to the US. If we had control then we could help fund another expansion project to modernize it..

Some of the trolling has been a master class in mockery. The trolling of fake Indian Senator Elizabeth Warren by Trump’s soon to be Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was just awesome. For those who didn’t see it Warren wrote a letter complaining about Elon Musk and his involvement in DOGE. The incoming administration responded as follows:

“Pocahontas can play political games and send toothless letters, but the Trump-Vance transition will continue to be held to the highest ethical and legal standards possible—a standard unfamiliar to a career politician whose societal impact is 1/1024th of Elon Musk's”

Just awesome. I can’t wait to see how she handles the biased legacy media in press conferences.

This page is a free service. The cost is covered out of my pocket. It takes a great deal of time and a fair amount of money to keep this website going. Donations for: photos, classified ads, forum discussion, etc... are appreciated.

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.

The new locks can get the big container boats through. I was down there 6 years ago and saw them going through. The new locks are huge compared to the old ones.

Trudeau being trolled by Trump had nothing to do with him resigning. It was well in play for months prior to this and even the US election. We are taxed to death up here and the mismanagement and allocation of where the funds go is disgraceful. The carbon tax that we pay on our heating and fuel as well on all products that are trucked or manufactured is killing all of us . They have another set increase of it in April and all of this is why the Conservative Party is well ahead in points ahead into the next election. Trudeau s party really has zero chance of being re-elected and he finally figured it out. When Crista Freeland resigned he knew he was doomed. We also pay 13% hst on all our purchase's so Trudeaus party decided as a gimmic to gain popularity to drop the tax on groceries restaurants and child’s clothing until February but all that is done has made Canadians realize how much we are taxed.

All that being said I can’t see the 51 state happening.

And a couple years ago during the Canadian truckers protest, it was a dirty low down tactic for Trudeau to freeze the individual truckers bank accounts. Talk about communist controlled government tactics!
But it does not stop there. Trudeau's new bank regulations, in play about 2 years ago, needs to know everything about an individuals assets in financial accounts.
Not just for Canadians residing in Canada. I was born in US but worked only a few years in Canada (before my employer moved me back to US) and I invested a few $ in Canada RRSP (401K equivalent in US) and now am required to draw the RMD (Required Minimum Distribution). If not fill out the proper paper work, Canada gets 25% tax on the distribution, and with proper paperwork, they get 15%.
But for them to release the annual RMD, they needed to know all my US financial assets. I raised a perpetual ruckus about that is none of their business, as I am not a Canada resident. Oh, the answer is if you do not provide the info to satisfy the new banking requirement (which is the one where the government can freeze your bank account) in order to release the RMD, then you are in trouble with the law for not taking your RMD. That is pure coercion and stonewalling.
In other words, the government totally owns and controls me and my finances. (Of course, do not think for a moment that the US doesn't play literally likewise.) And then the US IRS, despite all the tax treaties with Canada (and lots of other countries) sure has a complicated formula during income tax time to make certain they (IRS) are getting a nice chunk of that Canada RRSP RMD distribution.
I have always thought that Canada just needs to be part of the US. Both countries have a tremendous amount of in common resources. And to get rid of the US/Canada border hangup would be a great benefit. Along with not having to deal with a passport and foreign currency exchange.
