I’ve seen rearends explode, transfer cases detonate, driveshafts twist, tie rod ends break, etc. Sometimes the amount of alcohol consumed before going to the track is directly proportional to the amount of carnage inflicted.
Use your head and you should be okay, but sometimes stuff happens.

Yes, call Darrel Ruffcorn 217-257-8254. I’ve already hooked it several times this year, will be hooking it twice this week. The sled is called “The Legend” now.

That would help realize one of Bill Gates’ goals, reducing the earth’s population.
Who gets to decide what part of the population gets to starve? If you think we can grow enough organic food to feed the world, you are delusional. Going back to the way things were for our fathers and grandfathers isn’t an option, largely because 2% would no longer be able to feed everyone, and those city dwellers

Most vendors pay a flat fee for their space, sometimes based on frontage used, some by square footage, some vary by products being sold (food vs. merchandise). Would be tough to do on a % basis since most of the sales are cash, and it would be relying on the honesty of the vendor to be accurate.

That sounds more like a per night price. $202 for 3 nights doesn’t sound right, that is only $67 a night. I don’t know if you could stay at Motel 6 for that.

We’ve been staying at the Hampton Inn in Perrysburg for several years. Easy to get to, nice rooms, breakfast is usually pretty good. Priced with the rest of them.

My son was part of a team that built a quarter scale tractor in college for an international competition sponsored by ASABE.At that time you could as many 16 hp Vangard engines as you could fit on a 950 lb. vehicle without the driver, they figured out how to put 6 on it. Part of the competition is a pulling contest. They had their own sled they could practice and tune with, and they had a strain

Didn’t they try this way back when at either Indy or Louisville? Seems I remember reading or hearing that Arron’s put a turbine on the sled with the idea being there was enough fuel coming out the exhaust on the diesels to run the turbine.
Getting old, maybe I’m remembering something that was just talked about but never happened.

I was at that pull as well. Also saw him run at Indy. Heard the announcer say at least a portion of all those hoses actually did something.

Change the crank to a bit longer stroke. I’m having a brain fart and can’t remember, but I think my 358 is .125 over stock stroke with a stock bore. Easy to figure it. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and get a Dart block if your rules allow.
Or do as the other poster suggested and go to the LS engine. Getting to be lots of aftermarket parts for them.

The “farm stock” guys will tell you “It doesn’t look like a farm tractor if it has a cage”. Anyone but the most casual fan knows that anything that can drag the sled in road gear (or faster) isn’t pulling a planter or a plow. Most (but not all) require a ROPS, but I would argue that is not as safe as a cage. Have yet to see skis on any farm stock.

The yields are often adjusted down the road, as are useage numbers. Didn’t say they were releasing bogus numbers, just that they often get revised.
And no big deal, but acreage reporting date is July 15.

A twin engine modified class was added, not sure what the weight is. Know a guy building for it, and a track judge said they thought there would be at least 6 tractors ready to go. Also not sure what the cubic inch and blower rules are.

I’d say they could easily take in $250,000+ on entry fees and pit passes. 250 stock cars, which they will get, would be $125,000 in entries, figure 4 pit passes (or more) per car. Will get plenty of late models and modifieds as well, some of them will have bigger pit crews, so more pit passes. Add in a good gate, which this kind of show will draw, and I’d say the chances of making a profit are be
