Don't remember the year, but there was an incident in the early 70's in Pleasant Hill, Illinois, where the flywheel on a modified disintegrated and injured several people, IIRC, the guy had drilled an M flywheel to fit a BBC. I believe one lady lost her leg, friend had a piece of shrapnel go up his arm, had a scar from his forearm to his shoulder, until the time he died a couple of year

You said the single magnet resulted in disqualifications, and the four magnets showed the engine exceeded RPM’s.
Those sound like they both showed the same thing, they were illegal.

I agree. The only exception should be safety rules which should be voted on by the board if an issue comes up during the season.

Do away with deductions from paychecks and make everybody write a check to the IRS every 2 weeks. That's the only way a lot of people will ever realize how much of their wages is being taken for taxes. Maybe then people would begin to understand. Problem is, most people wouldn't be smart enough to set that aside for taxes.
If you think there wouldn't be exceptions written in for f

Seriously?
You think some "local guy" is going to jump into a Lucas Dirt Late Model series race?
Your ignorance amazes.
I guess personally witnessing the “local guy” jumping in to run with the touring pros wouldn’t be good enough for you. It happens every year when they come through this area, so don’t call me ignorant, and if you are going to, at least be man enough to put your name wi

There are hundreds of dirt tracks all over the country where they have weekly racing, and every so often bring in a big show where the local heroes can compete with the touring racers. How do you replicate that in pulling?

I think you can find the dates for all the “major” pulls right now.Tomah, Wisner, NTPC, etc. have their dates set long before now.
What “major” pulls would you like to know the dates for that you can’t find them right now?

Unless Pa. is different than Illinois, there won't be a special election. The state central committee will pick the replacement for the dead guy, and there will be a replacement voted on at the next general election. It holds the seat for the party of the dead guy for this term. Not the first time somebody who has died has won an election.
As to electing Fetterman, well, that says a lot abo

First of all, I have attended events all over the southeast for years, including the Diesels in Dark Corners event since my first time attending in 2020. And I must say, if they are going to continue doing business as they did this weekend, they will forever lose my attendance as well as many others it seems.
The track was the worst I had seen it there on Friday nig

Yes, that is the pull I was referring to. I did not know he did that. Good that he did, but unless they worked that out in advance there was no expectation that more than one puller was going to get a check.

My point is that the guys who knew the stars would all have to align perfectly for them to have any chance at winning stayed home, instead of showing up and having a shot at a check for a finish of 5th or 6th. If all pulls were winner take all the classes would ONLY have the guys with unlimited budgets pulling. Nobody pulls for the prize money, but everybody likes to take a check home.

If tax cuts are such a good thing why are they not across the board? Why would someone select certain groups to get cuts and others to pay more?
If you vote for someone because they promise tax cuts for you, then you are more likely to vote for them again if they come through with those tax cuts, and less likely to vote for them if they don't come through, right?

Some folks just to be able to say they pulled at BG. If their vehicle fits the rules for the class they want to pull in, how do you tell them they can't?
Can't pull a NA motor in minis anymore, they made a rule against it. Used to be a guy show up every year and go about 60 feet.

The price of fuel went down enough to offset the rise in prices of everything else in July, so month over month inflation was zero. But the year over year rate was 8.5%, a figure the MSM conveniently failed to report. And which is WAY under the actual inflation rate. I can't think of anything that only costs 8.5% more than it did a year ago.
