Bowling Green should have a mandatory top 3 pull off in every class all weekend. I don't think that's smart at NFMS though. The classes are small so to run a pull off you'd be coming back with a super hot motor. Unless you run all the classes then have the top 3 in each class come back for the pull off at the end of the night. This would give guys time to fix things and cool off th

Totally agree there is a concern with safety for the driver and a concern with damaging the frame of these vehicles. At least in the pro stock class it seems a full pull should be like 244-245 to be fair to drivers and keep people safe. Basically if you touch the sand you're in the pull off.

This thread was posted to complain about Tim Cain not getting a pulloff against Daryl Folz and Tinker Toy which was not really a controversy.
But the real controversy is that Kevin Schmucker buried his tractor in the sand last night and he was left out of the pulloff because for whatever reason the farm show decided he needed to have gone a foot further. That was ridiculous. I'd be pretty

Unfortunately Bill Leischner was one of the most surprising runs of the class. I'm sure he's pretty disappointed with his pass.
Was shocked with Bill's pass as well as with Doug Theobold. It looked like Grant found a problem with one of the motors while starting it, there was some argument and attempt to fix it but looked like he gave up and said just run it.

Winning the wednesday night pro stock class means nothing. The whole point is to qualify for Saturday. Both tractors did that. So why bother with a pull off?
I would hope under similar circumstances theyd have a pull off Saturday. But I doubt either guy wanted to run again last night for no real reason. There is no check, no trophy, nothing for winning Wednesday night.

I think Full Pull has done great things for the sport. If nothing else their live streams are great, the podcase is fantastic, they are keeping us interested in the sport year round, and every person involved in Full Pull genuinely loves pulling.
The money side of things, who knows, I hope one day it helps the pullers somehow but the reality is that they have done nothing but good for the spo

Kevin Masterson won the farm show in 1997 and then again in 2023. Going 20+ years between wins.
Keep an eye on Bill Leischner this week. He is coming off a really good 2024 season and last won the farm show in 1994 I do believe. So he could win for the first time in 30 years.
Sorry I went down a Dan Mayer type rabbit hole but I don't think anyone has ever won two farms shows with a lo

Really hoping someone here has something positive to say........
Love this class but the current pullers aren't getting any younger and there doesn't seem to be people jumping into the class.

Both of your guesses make sense to me. I would argue 4x4 or TWD based on first thought that popped into my head.
Maybe minis?
The second argument then is both the 4x4 and TWD truck classes have great numbers. Is the lack of rule changes one of the reasons both of the classes have great numbers? Is it also the reason both classes are driver classes?

Quotebeen there every year.
After the 1st year the seats were packed and the event was run very well. The reason for the no go this year is the economy. The reason for the economy is 4 years of a fraudulent POTUS. If the mods want to delete this so be it,...but it doesn't change reality......
The reality is that for individuals there are plenty of people struggling in this economy. The

If it's true that it's not happening, WHY? What went wrong? I assume it's a money thing but then my immediate thought goes to Jake's question about attendance. I watched online but don't have a great memory of what attendance looked like.
I find it odd that it's done considering it seemed to be successful. I wonder if pullers aren't interested in it due to p

At 3 years old my dad took me to my first pull, Bowling Green. (it's 4 miles from where I grew up). It became an annual father son bonding event. I was hooked on the pro stock class and have been ever since. The unlimited's and the minis have also been favorites of mine. Looking back on my childhood the Boyd family and the Green Streak's were always my favorite in the pro stock cla

Got to about the 17 minute mark. Theres only one block in the sled so not sure how much weight was actually pulled here.
If Tesla or any other company gave me a free electric vehicle I'd say no thanks and give it back. I'm only 28 but have no intention of owning one in my lifetime.

If pulling wants to appeal to non-farmers, maybe it should offer classes for what people actually drive. Therefore, I suggest a minivan class, an SUV class, and for the high rollers, an unlimited Tesla EV truck class.
For the small sleds, a Dixe Chopper class.
Around the north suburbs of Indy, we see more and more Tesla trucks these days. On a non-joking note, if

the 5.0 pro class is great but it was literally created as a cheaper option with less breakage than the Pro Stock class. Even having the 4.1s at NFMS is not necessary although they put on a good show. We certainly don't need 5.0s too.
I'd much rather see the minis.
And hot farm? I cant believe that was even suggested. That's like demanding a high school team play in the supe

Hear me out, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The floor in there is at least 120 yards long which is 360 feet. I'm not sure what the length of a sled is but I'm guessing the sand pile would allow distances 300 foot or darn close to be pulled. Will it ever happen? Absolutely not, but would be an awesome venue for a pull. Seating for 70,000.
Could also host the event in spring or fal

For what it's worth it seemed like the pro stocks had a million hooks on the GN level this season and for the most part there wasn't terrible breakage. From a fans perspective it seems like that class currently holds together pretty well.
A ton of maintenance to keep them going though.

Jesse Petro mentioned trying this on the no practice podcast. If the time stamp doesn't work go 1 hour 7 minutes and 30 seconds into the video.
You beat me to it, I was about to mention the same thing. I think this rental idea will actually come to fruition at some point, it's just a matter of who pulls the trigger first

For what it's worth I sent a text to the hotline for the No Practice Podcast with 3 questions for them to answer on air. They answered two of them and ignored the one where I asked how Full Pull Bets benefited the pullers in 2024.
Do with that as you may. I will ask the same question again in two weeks and see if I can get Chase to answer it. I personally don't care about the answer

This is great news for both events and the competitors. I'm guessing Simons will have no issues filling the other 3 classes now!!
Regardless of what you think of the Simons pull now the pullers themselves have the opportunity to make their own choice and not have to miss a points hook in Hutchinson to do it!

I'm glad Sno Farmer commented here and brought in the pullers perspective.
The interesting thing here is that the pro stock class already has 50. I'm not sure there are 50 pro stocks capable of winning a pull like this but there are probably 25-30 capable of winning on a given night. Then you've got the 4.1 tractors, they might actually have 50 capable of winning. The same coul
