Last year the phone company registered nearly 33,000 phone call attempts on March 1st alone. I wouldn’t doubt this year was any different. People that camp out to be first aren’t only locals. There are usually people from other states too.

I’ll answer but in reverse order. When are they going to make them a GN class? When and if they feel they can get enough in the class that would travel all over the Midwest consistently and they could “sell” the class to promoters.. there are so many “similar” tractor classes to them that have been around longer. The other question is. Where would you park them at BG? Like seriously there is n

Many non nascar series have started doing a lot with hybrid technology. Maybe some crazy rich bored electrical engineer will go to a pull and think they want to spend a ton of money to R&D for the actual towing applications. Lol. Side note: I’m always amused when they describe the electric semis and brag how fast it accelerates. All I ever picture in my mind is loads shifting and falling out whe

Roberts couldn’t get double stuff to work in sync. Said the drivetrain wasn’t happy and wanted to explode.
So with your hypothetical build. What’ is the weight of the rolling chassis with gearbox, trans, and tires? What does a pro stock engine weigh? What does a DSS engine weigh? Then how about the hemi? I’m just not seeing you make the weight.
If you could find a way though…. I’m

The new rule about jumping more than one class up will cut out a few of the PS entries. Still think they can just score the GN points runners separately points wise. You finished 20th overall, but you are the 7th GN back you get points for 7th for points tally. The new 25 rule is all a big we aren’t happy pullers from the (other) series come and beat too many of our series at big events. The cre

Bauer's Double Nutted the first few years when NTPA came out with the Light Unlimited. The rules have changed a few times and that class still has not got off the ground.
Double nutted dominated the class because he was able to make it light enough to fit one more motor than anyone else. They didn’t give the time for others to figure out how to do it too, they just changed the rul

The armband is to replace a full weekend pass which used to consist of 5 individual tickets which the office print, seperate, and stuff into each envelope 2 sets. Then they print all of the ones that go to Kroger stores and ones at the gates. Several pallets worth of printing tickets. Campground armbands basically copy’s many other festivals like country concert in southern Ohio. You can’t acce

So it will just be run as a split class the way I’m reading correct? Split 1 aka GN first then split 2 aka everyone else. The distances all count toward the full class. All GN competitors competing as a sub class for their season points. If the track gets better at the full end it would be the same as having a low draw anyway. You are still getting the points that you came to compete for. The

Looks like Slagh’s minis aren’t legal anymore. Feet have to be inside frame rails.
Inside main frame rail is the rule. Is there a maximum chassis width? Might just spread the frame out in strategic areas.

After the turbo explosion incident in august… All aspects. When lawyers start watching videos looking for any bit of evidence in a search for negligence proof. To a Liberal environmentalist Lawyer shutting down pulling would be like a life goal. Sad, but true.

What is your reasoning for wanting minimum turbo size in GN PS? Not disagreeing, just wondering. Do you feel they slow the show down? Is the class too big because of all the so called “class filler”tractors with no chance? Do you think they screw the road that gets built sometimes and the rest of the class is bogged? Or do you just like the newer Mini rule where there is a minimum to pull GN.

It’s not easy doing the changeover transferring all the data. Hence why doing this in the last couple weeks of the points battle where pullers and fans are both trying to get lineups and see points and do calculations during the event. Contracts and other things likely brought this on I’d have to guess, but “wow” the timing of this is terrible. This is off season type of change.

First off, I love Bowing Green. It’s my favorite event of the year. Hat’s off to every single person involved.
As a spectator, former puller, and builder i do have a legitimate question, however. With almost 2100 campsites at $380 each, there’s over three fourths of a million dollars right there alone, going somewhere and it’s not to the pullers. Sure, it costs loads of mon

Fact: once you build a component chassis it is no longer a (tractor). It is now a purpose built machine designed to pull a sled. Just as in a nascar, drag car, or monster (truck)
. What automotive company makes a shark or a dog? (Monster jam reference).
You grew up farming with IH and you want to be competitive In Pro stock you need a Deere motor but you are dead set on not driving anything

So you aren’t happy that the head of rules enforcement is enforcing rules? Next week we will be back to no one is enforcing the rules.. It’s in the rule book and it’s not a new addition. Pretty sure the other major series have similar sticker rules.. it’s a sticker from a sponsor that pays for such. In a time where big sponsors are hard to really come by you choose to say screw that sponsor and

How long was the sled down? If it took more than 10 minutes to get fixed then, yeah there is no reason to take another break. It’s hard enough to keep people’s attention and enthusiasm going these days. People don’t want to be driving home/leaving a pull at midnight/ 1 AM. Pullers being fired up and pulling on the track as the sled getting set speeds up the show more than anything I’ve seen and

It was an interesting video. I liked that it was pretty grassroots if you will. Would be interesting to see him at BG and what his thoughts and reactions to all the GN equipment and classes. I think he would be a great candidate to do an explanation and reaction to how the big multi engine mods work. Get him into the seat of Mini, help spray ether to a DSS, set him at the scales for a class, go t

Cain was running a PS that wasn’t on the ragged edge in a DSS class that the top competitors are on the edge blowing things apart quite frequently. More or less playing the Don Deane game: show up to EVERY event, put it away not broken, service, repeat. Never placed above 4th place in an event, yet finished 3rd in points. I’m not sure how much part availability factored into that scenario. Might

They could just change the actual hook to one with the safety latch.. Then they can do a real test of the kill switches in tech, tech determines if ring and switch are legal, tech installs a zip tie . The engines don’t even have to be running to test the kill switch just need to know where to hook a multimeter If the switch doesn’t work you lose chassis certification and need full inspection. Put

Type in “behind the hook” on YouTube. Toledo aerial media did 3 mini episodes for BG last year. Episode 1 is Carmen Foster, episode 2 is Shmuckers, and 3 is Shane Kellog. Episode 1 is the only one out as of this moment I believe. It’s not to the level you are talking about with tv shows, but it’s in the new short video genre that’s popular right now.

I was just posting what ntpa put out as a response, it would have found its way to this thread eventually. Ntpa just posted tentative national schedule on FB the other day. That means it’s time to get plans going,
How long should a potential promoter, or previous promoter wait till they contact the other sanctioning body to try to make (the,a) schedule? That a serious question no sarcasm.
