Removing cast to the point of making it unsafe doesn't make it right.
Like I said, different regions/areas and different club/association dynamics are what drives the different weight limits.
Just back off and leave it alone.
Are we trying to grow pulling or are we trying to create division among pullers?

Current top tier antiques have way more technology and innovative in them than the cookie cutter 466 classes. 700+ cubed D466's, 800 ci rd 501's 1000+ ci G jd's. Hd800's over 1300. All running 3000rpm or more.
Out of curiosity, what would be a good ballpark guess for the cost of a top running Div. V tractor?

What rules were passed, amended, withdrawn, etc. last weekend?
Anything above and beyond the published proposals (like the Diesel SS restrictor plate rule that came out of the blue pre-Covid when it wasn't on the proposals, then withdrawn after pushback)?

This is an example of systemic issues within the organization. This is their All Star Pull. They hype it all season, and had stories on their new website about it leading up to the event.
As of 9:40 am Sunday 9/17, if one goes to the new NTPA website that still does not work right on my phone after a month...

Handy....................this is supposed to be all the "top finishers" in each respective class for both Region and Grand National.........until it's not I guess. False advertising I would say. Makes me wonder if it will be worth my first ever trip to this pull now.

Who is building new vehicles for 2024?
Thus far, rumors have Bill Voreis and Matt Cain. I believe both are supposed to be triple-engine mods, but I haven't heard if the two tractors are running an 8-71 RN, 14-71 GN, or screw unlimited setup.
The Olden team is building a new JD DSS.
I assume Adam Bauer's SS shouldbe done.
Who else is building? Who is retiring or changing classe

I only post the video for discussion. Incident in question begins at 6:20. Not a 5 engine mod, not a DSS, USS, PS, or even LSS.This was a limited LSS.

One thing that makes zero sense to me over the years is the lack of consistency in the mod rules. The Radial Reactor tractor should be legal, period. I'd like to know the thought process behind not allowing radials at all class levels. In Europe they've successfully ran for years. To quote the late Dennis Johnson, "it's either legal or it isn't." Variances are crap rules.

Olden new chassis
There is pic on Facebook of the new Olden Kryptonite tractor being built (link above if it works).
I did see Olden's ran the current Kryptonite at the UPOC pull in Winston Salem a couple weeks ago and did well.
I thought I had seen on a Precommit/Free Entry list from a year or two ago that Oldens had a second tractor being built. My ? is- Is the current Kryptonite be

When I click the schedule on Android phone, the colored tabs at thr top are microscopic and I cannot enlarge them. Design flaw.
Why do this now? Why not launch after the season?
Edit- Nothing will enlarge, at least on an Android phone. Results need a microscope to see. How could someone pay a developer for a new website and overlook such a common thing?

Not directly pulling, though there are several pulling tractors. At the Half Century of Progress show, the attached video is a guy walking around showing all the orange tractors.

The crowd got pretty small Sat afternoon when Twd and sf were running by themselves.
The crowd also was pretty small when the Unlimited and Super Semi classes ran - maybe even smaller
Are you saying no one wants to see those either?
Are you suggesting a portion of paying customers don't want to sit through 40 mostly green pro stocks (even more green if we factor engi

Didn't drivers for the Unlimiteds have to go through a procedure like that until a few years ago?
I thought I remembered Doc Riley say at The Fort in either 1989 or 90, whichever was Rodalyn Knox's rookie year, that she had passed a rookie test, but I've never heard anything about such a policy since then.

In NHRA, I believe you have to be licensed as a driver for the class; for Super Comp, you have to be licensed for that class; Top Alcohol or Top Fuel, ditto, complete with practice runs which I believe may include planned shutoffs for the first pass or two.
Is it time for pulling to do this, maybe grandfathering all pullers who have pulled for one season of competition, but say for 2024 or 202

While I'm a huge unlimited fan and hope that class continues to do well, the 7500 mod class has great possibilities.
In addition to the pullers at BG,
* both Bill Voreis and Matt Cain are rumored to have new rides for 2024. Also,
* Bunnage's arm should be healed if he's planning on continuing pulling.
* Bollinger's Top Gun has not run, but they were on the NTPA GN Lice

For front wheels on tractors, could tethers be attached somewhere on the skid bars?
The sport has been lucky somebody hasn't been seriously injured or killed. The first time it happens, especially if there is one or more fatalities, the sanctioning body and promoter will be sued out of existence. This is not an unforeseeable event and other forms of racing have mandated them.

With some of the rough rides by Andy Korporal and Mr. Miller yesterday, would it be worthy for NTPA, PPL, and Outlaws to require additional padding on rollcages?
