I can't speak for my father and his comments on his bucket list... As for me... I've been to Outlaw pulls in the past. Actually when I started this page (25 years ago next month) after college I lived in Colorado and went to an Outlaw event in Ravenna, Nebraska on part of my honeymoon. I hit a few other Outlaw events while I lived in CO. I think the Outlaws do a great job with theby Jake Morgan - Forum

Obsolete parts are one thing but for a 2014! That's garbage. It's a Ford Focus! It's not something exotic or rare. To me it's a HUGE fail by Ford. I do think an electric vehicle makes sense for SOME people (if we can figure out where the electricity is going to come from) but banning new internal combustion engines isn't about saving the planet or helping the envirby Jake Morgan - Off-Topic Forum

Ahh, the irony of people complaining about complainers... Maybe instead of complaining about complainers it would be better to ADD positive content. Come up with a positive topic and post it. Come up with an interesting question and post it. Offer helpful and polite advice whenever you can. What's there to say? It's not a PPL vs. NTPA thing. Numbers were really bad in both PPL classes. The numbers have been down ALL year (in both PPL and NTPA... it's been discussed multiple times this summer) and now it's the end of the points race when numbers are traditionally low.by Jake Morgan - Forum

I didn't know Lock Picking Lawyer mentioned pulling in a video... that's pretty cool. My wife got me a Lock Picking set after watching his channel for a while. Smarter Every Day is a Youtube staple in our house. He recently had a great series on Kodak (where my father worked for years) which showed how film is made He's had some great videos on rockets and rocket factories, he's got an awesome video on a backwards steering bike that I'd love to try, he's got a series aboard a nuclear sub, he's got a wide range of topics. Crowd - It was awesome this year. For those who want to bring back Sunday... this years Thursday night crowd was bigger than ANY Sunday crowd I ever saw. All sessions were very well attended. Track - I'd say it was a mixed bag. In the Thursday session I saw LSS tractors with weights on the back! Saturday afternoon the track was dry, I'm guessing this was intentional because theyby Jake Morgan - Forum
Re: Pulloffs - 1 year ago
I loved the pulloff... especially in a big class where the track changes during the night (especially when it starts in the daylight and ends when the sun goes down... those tracks really change). I'd take the pulloff EVERY single time vs. the class on Saturday night with a floating finishline. Every body is entitled to their opinion but no pulloff is like no playoff in other sports. Just watched the exact same scenario with Larry Peterson and the ProFab truck on tue north track but no DQ... Just a quick rehook.by Jake Morgan - Forum
Did the Shelton's get shafted? - 1 year ago
Here's the scenario... You're staged near the left sideline. The tractor hooks to the left out of the hole and you get out of the throttle while still inbounds... the tractor coasts to a stop before the 100' marker but it rolls over the chalkline well after you got off the throttle... Should that be a DQ?by Jake Morgan - Forum

I'm sorry that it's pointless and irritating to you and I completely agree that "it will be what it will be", however it's not different than any other sport. In fact the entire point of sports talk radio (and TV) is based on making predictions and assumptions on who will win, who's defense is better, who will come off of injury and play or who won't because they got hurby Jake Morgan - Forum
Re: MLB vs Pulling - 1 year ago
Quoteprmack Jake, Honest opinion...do you think it's too late to turn the future of pulling around? I agree that pullers do a good job interacting with the young fans. I am wondering what the associations can do, if anything, to help draw youth into the sport. Only organization I can think of that is trying to bring youth into the sport is the Outlaws with their Young Guns program. Thoughby Jake Morgan - Forum

Re: MLB vs Pulling - 1 year ago
Overall... Tractor pulling stopped trying to draw kids in years ago. Individual pullers do a great job sometimes, but the sport as a whole doesn't put much effort into attracting kids. This motorsport started taking itself too serious and too much white trash behavior is overlooked. Case-in-point: every once in a while a pulling announcer gets roasted for saying an off-color joke (kid iby Jake Morgan - Forum

I really like how the White House Press tells us that the President doesn't have that much control over things like gas prices. They tell us how one man can't impact things that much. Yet in the very next sentence they'll tell you it's because of Putin's Price Hikes. So one guys does have that much influence.... but just not our guy?by Jake Morgan - Off-Topic Forum

Re: NTPA Points System - 1 year ago
The first thing to do would be to do an analysis to see if it would have any actual impact on year end points. Take a look at previous years points races and "recalculate" points based on a different system. Do it for multiple years in all classes and see what the outcomes would have been. You might find out that it would make some changes... or you might find out that its completely moot andby Jake Morgan - Forum

Sadly NY and CA are probably going to be abortion sanctuary states forever. I believe both states are already talking about using tax payer dollars to fund housing and travel for people to come to those states to have an abortion. You replied to my post on liability, that's why your comments about the rule book were confusing to me... your reply had nothing to do with liability so I wasn't sure what you were trying to point out in that reply. I'm not exactly sure what you're pointing out... yes PPL (NYTPA) requires pants and shoes. NTPA doesn't have the same arbitrary restrictions. The PPL rules are completely arbitrary, as the rules are written: Someone could wear a half shirt and be in compliance... someone could wear shoes with closed toes and open backs (slides) and be incompliance. I agree, there's only one problem with making an example of the killers/murderers/scum in these mass killings: they are generally killed or they take their own lives. They don't value life... theirs or anyone elses. Making an example of them only works if they value life or suffer severe pain or embarrassment.
