Off topic comment but after looking at the list I thought hmm if Justin Wagler and the Real Deere can figure out the switch to the Pro Stock class they could be dangerous. That team was dominant in the super fam and the limited pro class. That's a tractor to watch going forward

Let's just remove the word "tractor" from any national classes, except superfarm.never say the word tractor in any way, shape ,or form,in ps-dss-USS-lss-all mod classes. Problem solved.Rick feicht nights been right, calling his group,"usa east sled pulling ",no mention of tractors or trucks

Boyds still know how, but when I toured their shop last month, the only diesels under the shop roof were in the haulers.
CP
Boyd's could build one tomorrow and dominate the class again but they won't. Diesels are too much work. Heard that straight from Greg. They do work on Mickey Shorter's Buck Eater occasionally though. Mike and Andrew Boyd may one day have a pro st

I think workhorse is the only one. Couch’s cotton pickin has a red engine under the hood so I guess they would cancel out.
Geared Green and Parker’s tractors are outlaw pro’s if our list contains only true prostocks, if not then carry on
Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Extra Butter (Minnie Mo) and Young Blood (Ag Co) are both JD engines as well. Those are two

The pro stock class is thriving. If it's more color you want then maybe a different class would suit your fancy. I love the pro stock class and I'm a John Deere guy so it doesn't bother me that 80% of the class is green, maybe even more when you count the transgender pro stocks with BBJD's under their red hood. Pro Stocks are still an exciting and very large class regardless o

What about Patrick Gentry, who pulled Masterson's tractor at Bowling Green? Is two hooks enough to qualify?
That would be my vote. He also ran a couple PPL pulls after BG. Obviously that wouldn't help me earn an NTPA rookie of the year award though.

Very excited about this hope they get good clay for this and add the right classes. TWD TWD and more TWD everyone's favorite class. TWD in every session cuz everyone loves them so much.
I appreciate the humor. If I had to vote for my least favorite class it would be TWD by a long shot. Would be curious to hear others opinions on least favorite class

There are some classes that just aren't standard across the 3 associations and the Mods/Unlimited would be one of them. To me going with the rules the way you've chosen makes the most sense. It wouldn't be that hard for any of the Unlimited guys to change up configuration and run the mod class.
As far as choosing a team of officials and a sled operators....does it really matter

Love that we are using NFMS rules. That should be the gold standard for all independent pulls (and maybe even tractor pulling in general). That being said if we adopt a bit of an NFMS mindset and look at this as a truly independent pull I am surprised to see a couple names left off the invite list (even if we anticipated they would have declined the invite).

Brent and CP, seriously guys this is an incredible idea. Well done! Good luck to you and the rest of your team with the planning and organizing of this event! This type of event is exactly what the sport needed. It's also a good way to draw attention to the sport in January/February when there wouldn't generally be anything pulling related happening.
Side note if you need another an

NFMS rules seem to be the best way to do this and allow the most possible participation from all organizations. At least for the Modified class. Can't wait to see who gets invited and accepts and who is put on the fan ballot. Will the ballot be on their facebook site? Anybody know

If this isn't the best idea to announced for tractor pulling in recent memory I don't know what it. Is it guaranteed to work? No. (Although I believe it most certainly will). There shouldn't be a negative comment to come out of this announcement. This is fun, its competitive, it benefits the pullers.
A couple weeks ago I proposed a pull like this not knowing it was in the works

Just means yet another NTPA pull losing numbers. As an Ohioan I'm excited for this pull. I will definitely be in attendance. I'm sure there will be some issues with it being a first year event but if they are putting on a 3 day pull they are bound to pump enough money into it to make it a quality event. Glad to

With saying that this is not a shot at blackbourns terry is a legacy itself more towards team owner and could go down as one of if not the best in pulling. Yes money has something to do with it but every puller spends more then enough but watching Boyd’s dominate pro stock and go modified pulling was a great bit of excitement or watching other long time pullers switch classes so

Hypothetical idea we add a pull in September or early October at a new location. Unsanctioned event. We take the common classes between NTPA and PPL and take the top 5 points finishers from each league. We score the finishers 10 points for 1st one point for last and have a winning league in each class? Yes there are some pullers who would finish top 5 in both leagues, they'd have to choose a

Michael I have a few questions comments and concerns. One major benefit I can see to the PPL would be online viewership. Through MAVTV the PPL has online viewing for considerably cheaper than the NTPA does. I live 20 minutes from the pull so this would be of no benefit to me as I would certainly watch in person. I think figuring out things like the Unlimited Class of the DSS would be important. H

Modifieds/Unlimiteds take the best Driver hands down. All these people saying mini rods are wrong! Mini rods take the lightest driver but as far as best driver? No way.
Was told this exact thing by two guys who run minis. Said the minis are pretty similar as far as engines go they are all fairly similar there but weight distribution makes a huge difference. It is kind of

Looks like they are going old school: put whatever you want on the chassis as long as it makes weight.
Wish the Unlimited were the same way.
