My apologies I submitted twice for week 6. I think I forgot to enter my email/entered the wrong one the first time I filled it out. Thanks for keeping this updated weekly. It's been fun to play along.

It seems that the biggest limiting factor today are the tracks. While some can truly handle the power and guys can get the tires hooked up good there are a lot that simply won't allow pullers to use the full power they have at their disposal

Only guessing, however I believe that there are a lot of pullers that have BG on the "must do" list. Will vehicle numbers be down, possibly. However when most classes have huge numbers 5 or so less will certainly not be noticed.
In some classes (looking at TWD) we can only hope there will be a significant decrease in attendance numbers.

Interesting question because Mitas tires are about to take off in more classes. There are several pro stocks using them now too. We'll see if they benefit the tractor classes as much as people seem to think they've benefitted the modified classes.
Greg Boyd told me that they tested the tires and thought they were worth 5-10 feet. Not sure what the difference in blowers would be worth

Sad to see them get out of pulling. But I will be interested to see who campaigns those two tractors next. Coal Fired the old Green Streak, and former Green Line Express before that definitely ran better for the Boyds. Somebody will get two strong running tractors out of this deal. If the Simons ran one or both of them it seems they'd take them from middle of the pack to top of the pack if t

I have no complaints or concerns with seating at this event but the ticket prices are a bit wild. I will be there so by no means is it stopping me but I was a bit surprised to see $50 for a one day ticket. I guess maybe I'm surprised because the price is more than double BG. Although they are only slightly higher than the NFMS.
My hope is that the higher ticket price means that the purse

An advantage to this system, looking at it from afar, is that it prevents those per hook entries from affecting points races between competitors who run a full schedule. This is particularly important when a points race is decided at a big event like Bowling Green that draws in pullers who don't normally follow the complete circuit. One, or a combination of multiple pulle

I guess my question in Illinois would be, how does one city control your entire state legislature? Shouldn't there be enough representatives from outside Chicago that Chicago's opinion on the state level aren't taken into account?

Today I saw a fellow classmate post on social media that it might be time to write a new constitution. The basis for their argument was that the Constitution was written so long ago and there is no way our founding fathers meant for it to be used in order to make judgements on things like abortion.
My thought would be the constitution was absolutely set up to handle any and all issues we are f

It's kind of sad when that people like yourself, Jake, are subjected to following the laws, and suffering the consequences of terrible economic and social decisions, of liberal elites in large cities. The state of New York, in your case, is made up of more than just New York City.

Theoretical question..... I'm from Ohio, we've already done the right thing and gotten rid of abortions. Somebody here has to be from New York or California, maybe Illinois. In the 3 states I just listed would it ever be possible for the country folk like those of us here on the site to gain enough power in CA, NY, or IL to ban abortions there? Or do the large cities in your state hold

Bauer is always a fun one to watch. Over the years he seems to be an all or nothing type guy. He pushes his equipment to limit and seems to break things more than most. As a fan you have to admire that. Hope his team can get Cross Threaded out at some point this summer.

BrandonA,
I've been to busy trying to get my tractors on the track and get my hay work done to look at this lately.
My only initial thought is that if they are going to ask pullers to make more pases there needs to be compensation for the pullers. We have one fellow mod puller that never comes back for a pulloff and said he won't until they pay extra for that

I love the idea. I'm looking forward to seeing it at the World Series of pulling, and enjoyed seeing it at BG 50th.
My question would be, do the pullers like it? Would add another run down the track and another chance to break equipment. However, they are already there, most of them pull because they love to pull and are competitive, so I could see them being on board.
This would be a

Smart way to do it I suppose! Just hadn't heard that was the plan with Loud and Light.
Might we see their red pro stock this weekend in Farley?
Or the other Boyd mini they have sitting around for sale?
Also where is there Mod? I assume either for sale or already sold? Sorry for all the questions just curious

You guys are all hitting on my main point.
Your average Joe in the stands can't tell the difference between a pro stock and a super farm or a Mod and an Unlimited.
I'm not sure how we go about changing that but I don't think showing speed will make a difference as said in this post the MPH of a pull between these classes only varies ever so slightly. Not enough to make a dif

The problems with our sport have been discussed on this site many times.
However this weekend I saw first hand one of the many problems, confirmed by a fan who is likely less into the sport than the people on this thread.
The Simons posted a picture of their Loud and Light newly built Light Super Stock. (Looks great by the way). A fan on the post commented "What's the difference betwe

The north track at BG has less run off, so the worry with Unlimited is not getting them stopped before they go 400ft and into the wall. There is no difference in quality of dirt between the two tracks.
The quality of track between the two was worlds different. Thursday night on the North track veteran drivers struggled to stay on the track. Several broke things when the

Your link is to a website for Fort McCoy. Is that an event? It's a military base right? Hard to compare the 2. FYI around here it's easier to fill the stands at the local fair for a demo derby, figure 8 race or tough truck than a pull, i've seen it first hand. A few local pulls are free, everybody always says how great they are.

I'd watch any class over not seeing any pulling. That was a solid lesson learned during the covid year when there wasn't much pulling to watch. But I certainly have my favorites....
1. Pro Stock
2. Unlimted (on any track other than BG North side)
3.Minis
4. USS
5.DSS
6.LSS
7.Mods
8. 4WD Trucks
If the following classes all died off I wouldn't miss them

It was incredibly cool to watch them pull at the 50th BG pull a couple years back. I believe they started the last session an hour earlier and let the legends make an exhibition pull. It was a neat thing to see, especially as a 25 year old who wasn't around in the 80s to see some of the creative ideas go down the track. Yes I've seen videos and I've seen the machines in the museum

SO what machines do they have now?
Two minis (loud and mini and simon sez)
The existing pro stocks(Loud and Loaded/Loud and Heavy)
Light Super (Loud and Light)
Additional Pro Stock (Red Edge Pro)
TWD Trucks (they have 5 of them listed on the PPL pre commit list)
It does appear they either sold or at least did not precommit the Modified
So by my count they have 11 tractors precommitt

Let's just hope they actually vote to overturn Roe v Wade and don't get scared when the libs start burning down cities.
On a more serious note this case if overturned is a great site to see. It gives states the power. The more we allow the governments of our individual states to govern and make decisions for us the better off we will all be. No offense to Jake as it seems we agree o
