2022 NTPA rulebook section XXIV.B.19 (page 92) states any disqualification on the first attempt bars a second attempt.
Section XXV.A.1.b (page 95) Causes for Disqualification states vehicle will receive hook and last place points when, while under the green flag...goes out of bounds.
Therefore, the NTPA made the correct decision in accordance with the rulebook.

The media is focused on gas prices coming down, even though they are still $1.50-$2 higher than they were before our mentally incompetent President took office. But there hasn't been a whole lot of attention drawn to the price of food at the grocery store, or the price of anything else really. Most goods have seen an increase in price. I'm with you the real inflation number has to be mu

Props to the officials for quickly taking care of him. Hope he gets back in the saddle and figures the mini out! Great looking new ride. Unfortunately in pulling there is no test runs. Shows just how hard these things are to control. Kevin wasn't exactly new to the sport, new to minis obviously but still.

This whole Recession reform bill makes absolutely no sense. Point #1, Biden said 0% inflation last month, So why do we need a Recession reform Bill ??? Point #2 If they are going to spend Billions of $$$ to hire 87,000 new IRS Agents, It will cost more money to pay the Agents wages and Government Benefits than the IRS will collect back in taxes. Sounds like Government waste to me !!!

I'm guessing numbers may be down but not drastically enough to make a difference. I think in classes like the pro stock class mentioned above, BG typically draws 50ish. Would expect to see 40ish this year.
Sorry if making a prediction angers people, but thought speculation and talking about the sport was the whole point of this site. (Which is why I appreciate it)

maybe pro numbers are down cuz the same few guys are buying up the class??
This is absolutely not true. People are waiting on parts plain and simple. Or staying home due to the prices of fuel.

I voted for Trump but wasn't a fan of his personality. I'd call myself more a libertarian. I agree with most republican views but think overall most republicans are just as slimy and good for nothing as democrats.
Back to the Trump topic. I think the latest events actually make Trump a stronger candidate for 2024. Based on what he did the first time he was in office can you imagine

There are a couple key points here. The MLB certainly does a good job of getting kids engaged in the game, and keeping things entertaining for several hours. I have not been to Europe myself but several others on this site have talked about how pulling in Europe does do some of what the MLB does as far as engaging fans of all ages but specifically kids.
I do agree with the general sentiment th

NTPA officials, I know some of you look at this board. In the interest of safety....
How about no drag racing at Bowling Green this year? Only one track runs at a time. Hold the vehicle on the other track until the run is finished, then give the green. Won't delay the show, you're just offsetting the run by 20-30 seconds. Added benefit less idle time for the

Agreed. No class should have a 1/3 of the pullers make a pulloff. 2-5 tractors/trucks is the optimal number. Heck I'd even be fine with saying okay we're going to have a floating finish but the top 5 tractors will then come back for a pulloff. Would make a class of 50 pro stocks for example have a more dramatic finish.
Also to my knowledge this is an idea that hasn't been propo

At most pulls I'm against pulloffs because they cause extra breakage for the pullers.
However, at BG, the pull widely regarded as the Super Bowl of pulling, I think pulloffs add to the show. As a puller you're tuning things at BG with the idea that you're going for broke. It also helps that the classes are larger and allow the engines to cool down a bit more than normal.

Anyone who blames the sled for not being able to stop todays tractors in 300 feet has obviously never been to the NFMS. If sled operators can get all the classes stopped in about 240 feet there is no reason the sleds can't stop tractors in 300 feet.
The title of this thread is the exact problem- SLED SETTINGS. My favorite pulls are the ones where the majority of the class is pulling 320

Question on week 11. How exactly will you be scoring BG? For example you have NTPA Unlimited's listed. Are you only scoring points for NTPA tractors? Or will you be scoring everyone who pulls in BG, meaning if I think Ricky Long is going to win I just need to write him in the Other category? Or will you only be scoring points based on the pre-registered NTPA guys you have listed on the form?

Respectfully disagree with the idea of Regional mods. 4.1's replacing the Lt Unlimited class? Now that I'd be willing to consider. Although I think I'd rather they just drop a class and carry on with the scheduled program.

It seems that all "conspiracy theories" that have come about since March of 2020 end up turning into the reality. Some like the changing of the definition of recession prove to be true in less than a week,
This whole recession thing is straight out of the Hermann Goring propaganda machine. The white house doesn't want to be responsible for a recession so they just change the definition s

Biden and the White House trying to change the definition of recession right in front of our face is the biggest piece of propaganda in news this week. Coming up with an alternative definition so that you don't have to admit you led our country into a recession is just utterly BS.

If Simons run Coal Fired (likely with the intent to sell at some point) they would be running 3 Boyd Pro Stocks. The current Loud and Loaded has won 4(?) PPL Points Championships under different names and drivers.
