I'm not sure if you can put a p pump on a common rail 8.1 without a lot of machine work. The hole on the inside is way to small were the pump goes in and to thick for the timing gear if i remember right from the one's I have seen. I know for sure the 9.0 common rails are. At minimum you would have to drill and tap a hole in block to see your timing mark on the pump and get a different t

I would agree. You are not going to get a set of rules that will please everyone. There are people in the area that think it should be a 466 ci max class, and let the case 504 and minnie 585 in, but everyone else at 466. My thinking is that it should be the same across the board for everyone at 585, but am open to suggestions. The reason to let the minnies in is that there are three minnies in th

So what cubic inch limit would you suggest to let in more color? Or not have a limit at all? And so you know, I pull in the 6500 LSS, and cubic inch limit is 650. Points winners were a Duetz 1, Oliver 2, and Minnie 3. And we put the limit at 585 for the new class so the minnie's can get in. I am open to suggestions

I shouln't even respond to this but people like you get under my skin. MMTTPA has as many Minnie's that pull with us regularly as we have John Deere's. We have a Duetz, Oliver, White, Massy Harris, a couple of Allis's as well as several Fords that pull along with the Binders. MMTTPA has about as colorful and quality show of tractors that you can find. So at least know what you

Here are the rules we have come up with. Let me STRESS--these are tenative, and not finalized yet. We hope to have them finalized within a couple of weeks. Being pullers, we realize it takes time to build a puller, and are trying to get these finalized as soon as possible. We are trying to make this starter class as economical and cost effective as possible to draw new pullers into the sport and

Well, I'm not sure about this, but it was my understanding that xcaliber was a member ran organization with a set of by-laws. Last year the members voted to lock the rules for the 85 LPS class in for 3 years, and those rules say a slick face compressor housing. So I'm not sure they can even legally change their rules so coincide with the outlaws rules even if they wanted to, and from wh

To answer the original question, yes, there are a few pullers that seem to want to change the rules every year. I am not saying it is right, but that is the members right to do so. It is up to the rest of us pullers to keep them the same if we don't think they need changing. Thats how democracy works.. Second of all, we only had 22 pulls this year. That means you made every single hook. Shou

Ronnie, don't let one idiot hiding behind a computer screen get to you. Every one of the pullers I have talked to on the tractor side have nothing but good thinks to say about you and Lucy and the job you do. I will take a $100 bill bet that whomever the coward is that is bashing doesn't stand up at the meeting and say a single word, much less volunteer to do the countless hours of hard

MMTTPA is a class organization ran by first class people. If you want to bash Ronnie, post your name or zip it. Better yet, step up and become president and see if you can do a better job. (actually, please don't, I want a place to hook in three years) MMTTPA is on the rise no matter what you think. We have had to turn promoters down because of having to many hooks, are constantly getting ne

I shouldn't even bother with a response to this, but people like this really irk me to come on here and badmouth an association like MMTTPA. And yes MMTTPA is over $6000 to book. You can't even get the sled there for $1000. That being said, Mid Missouri puts on a high quality show at an affordable price that small towns and fairs can still afford. I think I can safley say that whomever that is bashing excaliber is not associated with the running of MMTTPA. We wish no ill will towards any pulling association. Mid Mo has a very good group of pullers that have nothing but good class in my opinion. Yes we picked up some of excalibers pulls from last year, and my guess would be that is was for financial reasons. Excaliber puts on a very good sh

Paris was not a good example of how that tractor runs. That was Chris's first time in the seat if i'm not mistaken, and the track was a mudhole at the start line and gave everyone fits in that class. And no, i'm not a keyboard puller, I pulled against Chris at Paris and this summer. He won several times in the 6500LSS with MMTTPA, which is a very strong and competitive class. I

There are two fords that pull with MMTTPA right now that are running a 474 that will now be able to hook in the 82 (85 now) if they want to. That was the reason for the rule change. And yes, innercoolers have already been allowed now for several years.
