Bob Nihles has the former Plateville Puffer that use to be Dale Rupp's and also the 4010 that you are talking about. The 4010 that you are talking about has been changed in to a 466 hot farm built to bagder state rules and both of his tractor are torn down right now but he plans to have them back going.

Mark you should be careful on who your calling out. If you think Danny and Kendall are the only one that have OEM replacment engines or added performance items. I would like to ask you about the DeadDeere and it crankshaft. If I remember right it has a 1/2 stroked crank, Yeagers 4000 did it have a newer style JD block 404-466 and the way it ran in the class maybe a little more and what about t

Heres the rules.
1. Don't beat the locals.
2. If one out of towner should beat the locals (Danny)the second(Kendall) will automatically be disqualified.
3. Refure to rule 1
This should get someone going.

I'm going to take a guess here. You were at Mineral Point and had a 4320. If that is the case then everyone should know that somebody will have to get disqualified when that flagman is there. It seem to me that alot of the pulls in that area have pullers getting disqualified for not being stock. When it truely comes down to it there isn't any that were stock, some just run better the

They just don't understand it is what I feel is the problem. So instead it is just easier to not allow it then to risk it and be wrong.
A lot of people feel that it will be like the SS where the spark plugs took the show but what people don't understand is that LP, gas, and deisel all have about the same energy and none of them are oxygenating fuels like alcohal.
I think that it is a

Can we make the rules right off the bat to allow spark plugs and any stock fuel. With a inlet restrictor it should be just as fair to run gas, LP, or deisel.

If you were pulling a low powered antique where you were unable to lift the front end he would be right because it would add leverage. But the biggest problem with having a longer hitch is that you will lose hitch height much faster when the front end raises. Very fine line there between laws on leverage and lose of down force this is why most clubs have a 18" rule.
Just my opinion Chucky

Think of it this way. What happens when you run a gas engine with the choke on?? A deisel is very simular it gets fat and lazy. Just remember fuel doesn't make horsepower oxygen with fuel does.

I tell you guys start by giving the first through third place pullers a ribbon and split the payout between the next pullers. If the big guys want to run they can but the money will go to some one else.

I often wondered why some deisel like a Perkins (MF2705-1105-1135...) for instance always smoke even under minor load but yet some claim they get great fuel economy and the next engine say my 4430 almost refuses to smoke but drinks fuel like it is going out of style.
I remember the Liberty Bell (where did it go anyway????) when it had that Q4?? Cummins made unbeilevable horsepower and no smoke.
