I'm going to put my 2 cents in. No I was not there but this has been my experience at the NFMS
Dave. Maybe I'm bias but here it goes. If you ever talk to Dave, one thing that he does that sticks, is that he uses the term "Friend" That term always has thrown me because good friends are hard to come by. Except with Dave, after talking to him, you truely feel that he considers y

Get "Aftermarket" "stub shafts" We could not get ours in time and made 2 passes at NFMS. When we took it apart, the factory ones were twisted 2 splines worth and the spline itself was cracked

OK....I have kept quite on this one.....I seen a comment on VGM.....I have worked with Brice and have been pleased with him. The person we use now has been great to work with...we researched....talked....and stayed with him over the years. Bouncing from one to another will not work. Find one that you can work with and stay with him.

I watched the state fair parade last night. The parade had a group of IH tractors, and a group of JD tractors......That was all there was ag based. The Iowa State fair is following Minnesota Fair. The way it looks, the fair will be all about "entertainment" and less about ag and the state in general. Face it, the population of Des Moines is who the fair is aiming towards.....

Don't think you can "get by" with stock sun gear. We did the change and our billet ones were not here in time. We put the stock ones in, made 2 passes at NFMS.....we took the axils off to put the billet ones in and the there was a 2 spline twist

Just so advice. When you push timing up (higher) the heat stays in the chamber. When you lower it, it goes up the pipe......does that make sence
Also if you push timing to high, new sleaves and pistons are in order

The problem that I am seeing in the manufacturing world is the lack of solid people that want to work. The schools are putting out kids that seem to think that I can make 50 grand a year sitting at a desk and playing with a computer. They don't understand that to make them selves valuable, they have to have real skills that make them valuable. These are the same people that have 1000'

Late model Mustang rack with power steering. Has to be mounted infront of the axil. any race car shop will have nuckles. If you want power steering, get a battery powered hydro unit and put a pressure and return line to the rack. All you need is 1/4" line for that

Every class is a give and take. The take is wheel speed or power the give is money. The Outlaw superfarms (and superfarms in general) is a good fit for us and our tractors. They are a great bunch of people to pull with and we enjoy pulling with them. At this time we see no need to change to a 4.1 or a 466 class. They are both fun to watch and have a great bunch of people in each class. Yes
