I have held off commenting but I guess I need to since you anonymous posters need answers. I am doing the best I can with what I have. I'm the only one that does the magazine...but with contributions from a few partners. There are some things I cant farm out but I am actively seeking help with both magazines for those things others can do to keep them going. I am proud of the time Ivby Bryan Lively - Forum

whats your time worth to you to peddle the parts individually which would likely make you more money but take more time versus selling it whole which is the quickest and most expedient thing to but usually less return on investment? Re: sarcastically saying - 2 years ago
Solar is a hot button issue nearly, literally at my back door. The north end of the road I live on there's some ground that was brought before planning and zoning to become a solar farm. I have heard lease rates for 25 years at 800 to 1800 per acre, with the power being sent to Northern Kentucky, however they make that happen on the grid. That batch of ground failed to meet zoning approvaby Bryan Lively - Off-Topic Forum

Re: Pullers, what is your limit (diesel fuel prices)? - 2 years ago
Something to ponder. All things being equal, this is the inflation adjusted, local-to-me, regular gas price that would be an all time high vs. the previous high in 2008. I offer this not to argue one way or another but as a point of discussion. I'm not happy with high fuel prices and without creeping onto the discussions of the other page there are means to generate more output, we'reby Bryan Lively - Forum

Re: Antique pullers - 2 years ago
the wheel is a pretty good setup helpful when there isn't a speedboard in use to keep speed in check. Some use a radar and a Calc an acre monitor. There wasn't a speedboard at Princeton so it was an important tool for not getting a speed dq. GPS outdoors works of course but latency can be an issue.by Bryan Lively - Forum

I'm glad there was a NFMS this year. For all the ticky-tack problems that are overanalyzed and hashed and rehashed on this page. I am glad. The right people are in the know of what needs to be done to make the improvements suggested. I am glad for that. I am glad to see crowds of people gather again. Slinging engines to move up in weight class at an event was hard work for the crews but a testament to the competitive nature of those pullers, it seems a foreign idea compared to the current, minimal variations in machines. All brands have a spot to shine but it varies with regard to weight and speed. Example, an AC WD can be pretty competitive in light classes up to 4mph regardless of tire size or cut; An Oliver 88 can be competitive at a variety of weights and speeds. The NATPA holds a general business meeting each spring in conjunction with their Championship pull. The membership reviews a different specifiby Bryan Lively - Forum
Re: tractor class - 2 years ago
Quotejjjp I am not big fan of antique. Rather stay with stock farm tractor class. I was thinking that be the cheapest. Prefer a John Deere. Not really sure what size need to be looking for Farm stock has been pretty active in Middle Tennessee, the Tennessee Pullers Association has a 12500 Farm Stock class paced at 6mph...several hook opportunities. Re: tractor class - 2 years ago
None of this is cheap, some are less expensive than others. If you want least expensive and a place to learn to pull, find antique clubs that are near you and see what's running in their uncut and top cut tire classes. Where you're at across those states, those classes can be referred to as Farm Stock 1 or 2 among other names. No better training ground for track reading, balanciby Bryan Lively - Forum
