We have a 4010dsl with a cracked head, wanting to know if we can install a 4020dsl head with pencil injectors. Will it fit allright on the block, was thinking someone once told me that the top oc the blocks were different widths on a 4010 and 4020.
thanks

i run the cam driven oil pump in the 3000rpm class and haven't had trouble "yet?" idk on the pistons, i run 50 series and had to cut reliefs in them, i have been told the 55's will work if you shoot water but with out doing that i would be affraid of them coming apart or melting. they do make a "low ring" 55 piston that should have enough meat to cut away some.

a 619 uses a P pump and will not fit in the block of a 4440 with out machining the pump mounting hole out. if you install jd part number AR77114 on the return fitting on the pump it will build more psi within the pump and will help you get more fuel. that will help

there was supposed to of been some pro field tractors from iamo come up and pull at west fair. i think only one of those guys actually came up, not sure where all the other 3000 guys were at, but there wasn't any of the 10700-12700 "farm stock" because of the hope of the iamo guys being there.
Who ran a precision turbo?
and there was two trucks, one was a diesel the other was a twd gas

on the clutch vavle housing it is the lower rear plug, the housing is or should be stamped with clutch next to the plug. presure should be around 175psi, or as high 200psi, if it has been shimmed up. the system uses the oil to apply the clutch by applying presure to the clutch opperating piston the piston then the piston pushes on the clutch fingers. when you press down on the clutch pedal presur

put a gauge in the clutch port of the valve housing and make sure that it is droping presure off like it should when you press the pedal down, if it's dumping the presure like it should then you could have a syncronizer praoblem on the top shaft

what do they call the 3000 rpm class in the great plains? i was looking at the rules and didn't see anything listed as far as a 3000 class. i noticed for the open farm class it says stock apearing pumps only with no switching of the cams? judging by the pics i would have to guess that those pumps have quick cams in them but i really dont know. just asking

thats prob why they now check rpm's they were checking them at denison and dunlap arlington....... mine was running over the 2750 limit, and over 3000, but it was FAR from as high as people were claiming it was. maybe 3020 or 3100????who knows... point being that it isn't allways easy to tell rpms from standing on the sides. but you are right it was getting out of hand

it was a pump built for a limited pro tractor and it still had the "starting notches" in the rack, so when u fired it up it would rev up like a stock 4440. Not exactly what one would expect. that was one story that i heard. from my personal experence when i was trying to deal with them on a pump for my tractor they wouldn't take the time to talk to me on the phone as to what all would be don

i agree 6mph is too slow, i would like to see it be a 12mph, but the talk is that it will be 10mph, from what i have heard most of the 3000rpm tractors are running at 16mph so they want there to be a greater difference in the speeds of the two classes

i know that a lot of clubs have gone to setting speed limits in their farm stock classes, i am wondering what speeds most have set for like 10700, 11700, and 12700, or there abouts (as far as the weight goes). and also what gears and rpm's those tractos run. i am wondering for both deeres and ih's

not sure on how much hp it can handle, cut .095 from the plate closest to the flywheel, and .045 fromt he center spe plate that seperates the traction from the pto. when u have them cut only have the width of the disks machined on both plates

i dont think you want to jump the cam one tooth, that would be to much and i think the valves would hit the pistons, just guessing though. stj joe missouri builds good pumps too, never had a p pump done there but they know their Apumps preety well

i dont care what class you pull in any where from a non turbo 4020 class on up to the big boys, guys "bend" the rules. thats just how it is, no one conforms strickly to the rules and if they do, then they are not going to win, simply becuse there will all ways be some one that isn't following the rules... thats my thought on that

i didn't think that there was much wrong with that pull, they had a lot of hooks, and a decent crowd. i have delt with a lot worse parking situations then that before. i would like to think that they wold have a pull there again. drove all the way out there from nebraska and would do it again

ok so i should have given some more info, i am running a 466, i had the cam ground by berry cam, i had the same charger and fuel system on the 404 last year. i am only running a factory pump off of a jd 4640. it seems like i have actually lost power after goin to the 466, which don't make a lot of sense to me. i put 4450 pistons and sleeves in it.

so i am basically tired of gettin beat on, i know alot of guys are running pumps in the 400cc range, would a pump in the 600-700cc range be too much fuel? i am running 3000 rpm's and running a large base turbo that is off of a chopper the jd number is SE500269 it is a schwitzer wide base but that is all i kow about it, i am getting around 43 lbs of boost. and have the advanced the timing i
