It's a lot easier, from my experience, to tell when to hit the throttle or pull a torque sitting in the stand then on the tractor. MY 2 Cents

My bad, I read it and took it wrong. I'm hoping to get a class like that started here in SW Mn. See if it takes off.

I think ECI does that still once in a while. I've seen some recent videos of them using a golfcart or something similar for pace. Correct me if I'm wrong.

LOL? I don't get what's funny? I never said it was an advantage. I was simply asking because I am trying to see if the tractor I'm building would fit. Sorry if that's amusing to you I guess.
Thanks,

Reading through the rules for 12000 farm stock they don't allow p-pumps. Do the altered farm Wisconsin guys still run their p pumps. I'm just curious not trying to start anything.
Thanks,

I run a 3lm 466 on a 414 with a stock pump turned up and it works really well at 9 mph and s2600 rpms. I just turn the pump down for everyday use.

Be careful with the fuel pump rule. if you make it a factory appearing, red will win the class with the rotary. Deere rotary will not keep up unless you spend endless money on it.

Well I know we have a 410 Cubic inch class 2.25 turbo no rpm limit with 18.4 tires uncut. Its a fun class to watch but it seems to be on the way out a bit

I like the class a lot, wish we could get it going around Southwest Mn. But I do agree it should be uncut tires, factory frames no aluminum parts ETC.. Keep the cost down needed to win.

You honestly think a 410 trucks gonna travel cross country to get its ass beat by a 530 truck....doubtful. And I doubt the 12-15 trucks we will see in region 3 plan to travel to to region 6 for a hook if they ran the same cubic inch!! Either way you try to explain it some group would have to spend big money to run if they made it all the same once again not everyone has a big check book!!!

It doesn't keep them from changing there setup it allows them to not HAVE to change there setup. Making it 530 across the board would make guys with built 410 have to build a new 530 motor and buy different gears and vise versa. Quick way to kill an established class with 15 vehicles in it!! I know its hard to understand that not everyone has a wide open check book. This type of idea would r

You must lick windows. You don't change established classes. Its idiots like you that would drive the pullers away making them completely change there setups to compete at the next level. This allows everyone who is already built to jump to region and pull without changing. As far as SF that isn't even close to a fair comparison, they have always been 640 across the board not 505 here a

This was about the truck class not the prostock

This is because each region already had the class competing at the listed cubic inch. This will allow all competitors to compete in there specific region with out having to build new motors to compete. Makes a lot of sense if you actually understand or know what our talking about.

Just from what I've heard, NTPA is against box turbos rules I could be wrong but it at least this would allow others guys from outlaw or ppl to pull at that level of NTPA if they want. I could see a couple limited pro guys that are looking for a change jumping up to this.

I know the MN group tried starting it but some of us cant afford to put a tractor together over 5 months. They folded the class before it had a chance to grow

Call it whatever you want idc. Our class is out of the field if you wanna run "STOCK" here. Farmstock around here is open mph. Was just in Hamburg and there Farmstock had everything from a turned up 1066 to a 600 hp tractor doing 24 MPH. And I know one of the tractors there has a model 100 on and a 2.45 that's why I went with that description!! Show me one truly stock tractor in any of the s

Out of the field runs mph, farmstock doesn't. That's the way I kind of figure it. I wish in southern MN we could get a set of "Farmstock" Rules together for open MPH. Something like Wisconsin altered Farm with out water and p pumps. Something like 505 Cubic inch Factory appearing pumps, 3000 RPM, Box S300 sxe 2.45 Turbo from fair valley sealed, no water, uncut tires only, 20.8. around 1

It doesn't matter what has been built for containment, the rules are the rules. Being forced to put bolts in in BG was fault of the puller. Read the rule book follow it and there's zero issue. Simple as that.
If no one brings up rule changes such as this to a rep the rules won't change. Communicate ideas to class reps and tech people and it can be brought forward.

The rule book states "Prostock tractors are allowed to compete, under their own division rules and regulations (excluding weight), in Heavy Super Stock classes at all levels"

I think it would be a good time.
