lss, I'm not sure if you were replying to my post? If so, I have not proposed any classes. However I am glad for your class. I hope it all works out to be a success! This is what I was talking about. Someone trying something different for a change. Again this is what has kept our sport going over the years.
To Joey, this is what they call competition. Unfortunately this occurs all the way f

I agree with John. While you can certainly allow different types of tractors pull in the same class. It is rarely an even playing field. Whether you pull naturally aspirated tractors or turbocharged, the gassers always make more power when running equal cubic inch, turbo size, or naturally aspirated. It's just the nature of the beast. Can't change physics. I think sometimes we get too

WOW!!!! What a way to end the 2019 NFMS Championship tractor pull!
Congrats to Mr. Don Masterson and his whole family and team! We bleed red here, however we were all cheering for Don as he took the track for the final hook of the 2019 NFMS Pulls. It was the most beautiful thing I think I ever witnessed. We were so happy for Don and his family as I have a Father who still pulls tractors at 83. I

Just an update on my previous post. I wanted to reach out to JD4250, To let you know I appreciate your Interest in pulling with us here in Ohio, my offer still stands to you to pay you hook fee if you choose to come to one of our events. However I just wanted to let you know to not be deceived by the 3000 rpm rule, as these tractors run very well. I didn't see where you were running a 3lm tu

Not sure what you mean by rules crossing over? However many of the guys run all of these pulls with no problems. We all just kind of go wherever we can to pull and have a good time. Seems like Glenford rules tractors seem to be welcomed wherever we go. Dont know of any issues anywhere. Hope you can come to some or all of the pulls you can. As for JD4250, if you come to Glenford all the way from N

Super D . What happened to the Outville pulls. We were planning to go one year, and that year was the year they stopped having it. So we never got to pull there. We heard it was a nice pull though.

If lawn tractors count, A Cub Cadet SLT1554 comes in at 567 lbs at 27hp gives us 21 lbs per hp. Some of the later Speedex models probably rank up there pretty well too. However some of these small lawn tractors with large twin cylinder engines will be hard to overcome.

Montgomery Wards Custom Tractors had Chrysler 6 cylinder engines with dual exhaust. However I believe they were built by the CO OP manufacturing co. And sold as Wards Custom. I remember a guy pulling one of these at our local county fair tug pull, he won the 5100, and 7200 lb classes.

It will be here before you know it. We got our work cut out for us in the 3000 rpm class. Don't know if we will be able to catch the Big Block Deere? That tractor is a beast! Hats off to the Clouse stable. We have several other Deeres that are stepping up and bringing it on too! We definitely have our work cut out for us. Look forward to the competition and camaraderie this coming season. Wi

Thanks Zach, I appreciate that. Always a pleasure to compete and visit with you at the pulls. It is a tall order to compete against the larger cube engines with a smaller cube engine, however you can certainly make a good showing provided you have all your ducks in a row and have plenty of luck on your side. There are some VERY GOOD running tractors in the Central Ohio Group, like Zach said, anyt

Super D, you are correct with regards to the Mt. Pleasant Shootout and fair pull not being checked rpm. However most of the Glenford guys and others from around the area and neighboring counties usually show up to pull. The Shootout is one of the best payout pulls around usually purse is North of $10,000.00 dollars and the Fairfield county fair is the last county fair in Ohio. So both pulls usual

Muskingum county pull was put on by Muskingum county fair board and produced by The Glenford Lions Club. Most of the Glenford group typically runs 3000 rpms, checked while pull is being made via an rpm sensor on tractor thats plugged into a monitor box on the sled, 12,500 lb. and 14,500 lbs. 20.8 tires, 20 inch drawbar, ROPS, scatter blankets. GlenfordPulls.com has rules posted. We have a variety

Massey-man, some places mayet you slide, however, if you should do well, this is where the problem of not having sensor and air kill will come into play. I recommend that you get the sensor, I think its less than $100 bucks from Fair Valley Performance. You can make an inexpensive air shut off with a rain cap, spring, pin and pull wire or cable. By doing so, you are helping to keep the rules writ

I don't know about that, however I've pulled some John Deere plows with International and Cockshutt tractors. One time it wasn't very safe though, because my Father plowed out a yellow jacket nest in front of me and I got stung 13 times! If I would have had my full fire suit and visor down on my helmet I would have walked away unscathed!

Greetings Lewis, I had to have cubes checked before I could compete with Central Ohio. They let me pull with them the first time, then after that, they had to check my tractor. That's not saying someone could swap engines during the season, however we have protest rule like most other organizations do if someone thinks someone is cheating. If one has to cheat to win, they really didn't
