Kick them tires boys!! If you want to sell it, price it. If I'm interested in something I won't BOTHER anyone if they don't BOTHER to price it. If it's a variable then say it is.

Isn't there a 450 IH out there also? I thought I seen one on a video once, if not that would also be a neat one to build. We may have been JD people if the 830's would have run like True Grit does, my Dad always said the reason he wasn't a JD man is because the old 2cyl JD run in one place for to long and the Farmall M didn't!!

Starter broke . They had a replacement starter but couldn't get the old starter out of the of the spot it was in to change it. Looked like it didn't have room to come out of where it was located. We sit where could see it all . He made one hack of an effort to get it going, he never gave up till he had to. Tough break.

My problem wasn't from maintenance. We didn't have issues with our fuel or filters until we started using bean juice then all hell broke loose and we were changing filters constantly and pulling pumps for bean juice related issues. Like I said it is gone forever from any equipment I own, can't afford it in down time or money!! My pump man said keep using whatever it your using and

I hate to say this because I am a soybean farmer but there will be NO more bean juice at my place. Have had way to many problems and repair cost associated with it. It is a thing of the past at this operation.

I run a 361 in my puller and I seem to remember some years a go that we sheared a camshaft key but have not done so since. It was a all stock setup and it happen when we started it after the motor had been sitting for some length of time. Solution was replaced the key, retimed it, started it, and have been running everysince. I also run a 361 and a 407 in 2 farm tractor with no problems.

Well here goes, as I say on a earlier post I went there Saturday night not expecting much ,but I did get a very pleasant surprised. The Pull was very well put on and they run 5 class with basically 50 hook and were out of there around 10:30ish, couldn't ask for a better finish time and I am going to congratulate Doug for a show well run. They had one pulloff with 2 tractors and the rest work

I'm running a 5.4 triton and the only real problem we've ever had with it was a injector bad that we couldn't firgue out why it would occasionly have a missing fit. At least that's what I called it. Has 204,000 miles on it. I could possibly say it has been one the best gas motors I've ever had besides a 4.3 chevy motor in a s-series blazer that has a 243,000 miles on it.

$25000 may be possible for a "to hot to farm". I don't believe you can build a competitive light pro field for 25.

I agree they should make sure everyone is legal BEFORE THEY ARE CROWNED. I'm sure making sure everyone is legal is possible and if not don't crown them until you know, pretty damn simple in my book. I don't believe they will be raising ticket prices for next year because they were renewing next years tickets at last years prices.

I wasn't going to comment but I must respond to Close listeners comment. It would have been very considerent of the pull committee to allowed the announcers to make comment to the DQ so that everyone would have had some ideal as to what happened but instead went home wondering what the hell happened (I know everyone where we sit was wondering what the real story was), but no the pull committ

I know there are lots of different classes and tractors out there and I personally am a IH fan and run a IH pulling tractor in the profiled class here in MO. I do not know Jason but his win in the LSS class the other afternoon give me that old "hometown local boy winning " kind of feeling. It was good for the sport to be able to see a team win it that wasn't a big name, but don't get me

I feel like the Farm Pullers as we are calling them (7 - 12.5 mph and 3000 rpm max classes) should be running some of the safety equipment but not all of it is necessary. What I think they need to be using is this as follows, Air shut off or ignition kill / wheelie bars / shatter blanket / dead man throttle / and tie bars recommended but not required / steel flywheel and componates recommended b

Sure would make it more pleasant to watch them. burns the heck out of our eyes where we sit. Hook them up same as the diesels. I know it is to dangerous to run tubes on alkys and gassers so I would suggest some type of a hood over the engines to at least get some of the fumes out. It would help if they would hook the spark plugs up without them running, that would be a big help since so many thin

I priced one a couple years ago and at that time they run in the 1900-2000 dollar area. They are a very well built strand that looks like it would do the job it's designed for. I think it is great of the company to do what they are doing and may they raise several dollars for the cause.

I don't have the weights in front of me but I can tell you I know that the 407 in quiet a bit heavier that the 400 series engine. I want to say like 300 lbs, Blackstack do you know the wt of the 407. The wt of the 400 series is around 1450 lbs. but I think the wt on the 407 is like 1800 lbs?? Also the bore of the 361 is the same as the 407.

I'll have to find the specs (I do have them) on the motors. I'll do know the 361/407's are really heavy compared to the 400 series motors. If memory serves me correctly the 466 is like 400 lbs lighter? Lot of meat in the 361/407 motors.
