Congrats to Mark Ham, the Imposter team.
I can remember years at Hinton when there were more people in just the lines to the Johns than there are a lot of pulls I attend!
They can certainly pack them in!
Speaking of Johns! I remember one pull in the very early 80s at Hinton, standing on the top of the north side dike at the 300 foot line when all of a sudden, BOOM!!! I turned

Glad to see Hinton had a Great show! I first went to Hinton in about 1969 when it was a farm pull on Saturday morning when it was BBQ days. Standing on the dike knee high to my Dad watching guys step on a metal skid pan. I watched the evelution of Tractor Pulling there. Great Memories over the years at Hinton!
Excuse the babbling, just always loved Hinton.

6:30 start time. Its been cloudy with breaks of sun here and there. We had some sprinkles about 1 O'clock but barely enough to settle the dust. I just checked the Radar and I don't see anything that will stop us.
It'll be a GO for sure!!

Weather is looking good. I just checked the radar and there is a cell going over Sioux City to the south of Hawarden moving to the northeast. Looks like we might catch the edge of it but after that the radar looks clear. The forcasters are still predicting the best chances for storms after midnight.
I think it will all work out good!! Any questions, call my cell Gary@ 515-238-5939

As a pulling fan and a Harley rider going to Sturgis this year I think this will go over well. Bikers love noise, power, smoke and show! So chromed out painted up smoke blowing huge horsepower tractors at Sturgis I think will be a surprise HIT! Especially if the weather cooperates and the "Chip" doesnt make it cost arm leg and left nut to get in to watch. And for the pullers, there

The track has moisture but unless we get alot of rain this week it will be good to go Friday night. The forcast is for scattered showers chances till Thursday. It's gonna all work out and Hawarden will have a great pull! Right now the best way to get across the Big Sioux from Dakota is through Hudson or Akron. I will keep you updated as the week goes on.
See you in Hawarden Friday!!

Back in June, Matt contacted us to ask if he could make a test and tune hook at Hawarden. We did not have the Outlaw 2wd Modified class but he was trying out a new blower I believe and wanted to test things. We said it was ok and even after he showed up that night he again asked permission just to make sure. I don't know Matt but from what I saw he is a straight shooter and a good guy.

River Rat made an awesome pull!! That Rolls Royce Fighter Plane engine is just COOL!! It hooked hard and Wayne set the front wheels on the pile of scrape off dirt on the left side of the track at 330ft plus. Damn, I love the sound of that engine!
The River Rat has been hooking hard the last couple years and when I see it whale on down through the end it always reminds me of one of many reas

3208s are COOL engine!! You eather love them or hate them. I work for a Cat dealer as a Generator Mechanic and there are a handful of 3208s in my territory. If maintained they fire up and pull hard. That being said I don't know the specifics on which parts to use but I have talked to a guy from Illinois with a tractor called "Outlaw Cat" a few years ago and he said there are certain parts

No breakfast at the track. Central Cafe up on Main street (Central Ave.) has Great breakfast and theres ussually a couple dozen pullers that go there on Saturday morning. As far as your eggs go, Central Cafe has so much cheese they keep 2 Grade A Jerseys tied up in the alley ready to go at a moments notice.
