Yes, Theres plenty of room in the pits and you can stay the night. Theres usually some Festivities afterwards in the pit area till the we hours. No wild bonfires allowed, just some Beers and a few lies being told! Good Breakfast at Central Cafe in downtown Hawarden in the morning. Usually a couple dozen pullers there.
The forcast is calling for 85 and Sunny for both Friday and Saturday!

Just want to remind everyone that the 4th annual Outlaw Showdown Truck and Tractor Pull in Hawarden, Iowa is coming up this Friday, June 28th. 6:30 P.M.
We were voted "Regional National Pull of the Year" for 2012!
We've added a couple classes this year and are an Outlaw Grand National Pull !!!

Just wanted to let everyone know the 3rd Annual Hawarden Outlaw Showdown Truck and Tractor pull is Friday Aug. 3rd at 7:00 PM. Hawarden is located about 40 miles north of Sioux City on Hwy 12 and its the farthest town west on Hwy 10.
We'll have Super Farm, Super Stock, Unlimited Super Stock and 4wd Modified Trucks.
Its one of the hardest hookin tracks in the country. Not braggin,

I'm looking for pictures of Modifieds from the 70s. Single or sometimes dual car engines, stretched frames and of course a tractor hood and grill. At least the grill. Back when modifieds were built from tractors and actually looked like a tractor......what a novel idea. Anyone here have any old pics or know of places on the internet were I can find some? Thanks for your help!

Just to let you know the highway coming into Hawarden from Alcestor, S.D. is closed. If your coming from the south just take the Riverside exit off I-29 in Sioux City and head north on HWY 12 to Hawarden or take the Akron exit off I-29 and head east on HWY 48 to HWY 12 and then north to Hawarden. If your coming from the north get off at the Beresford S.D. exit on I-29 and take HWY 46 into Hawar
