The show is not all tractors this year, the limited pro diesel trucks will be there Saturday

what is the term "hooded tractor" refer to? are you talking about tractors with sheet metal sides vs. modifieds and such?
Yes he is referring to tractors that have sheet metal vs modifieds, minis, and trucks. This pull is 100% tractors and as said before will not disappoint! Great pull, especially in early January when everyone is singing the winter blues.

I always take a jacket in the bleachers and usually stay comfortable. Like said before the pits are chilly depending on the outside temp. Have fun!

Coming from a camper, I'm glad they are getting rid of Sunday pulling. Like stated I'm sure it will be busy Sunday morning for sure, although I'm willing to give it a try. I'd rather get home Sunday afternoon/evening then late night Sunday. For those that have the option of leaving on Monday then I can understand why you like the Sunday pulling. Even if I had that option I

I have seen the picture going around showing what is still left in the truck and it shows just the rods sticking out and appearing to be still intact with no wrist pins or pistons on them. What could possibly cause the wrist pin and piston to come out and leave the rod intact?
Do you have a link to the pic?

If I was the blue shirt running the show I would much rather have the stands half full on afternoon session on Thursday than half full for my BIG grand finale ring run on Sunday afternoon.
I agree 100%.
Now I understand it's the same amount of time no matter how you shift the days, but I would much rather the event be Thurs-Sat than Fri-Sun. Just my vote and I hope to

I have a bone stock 4010 that I pull in a 10,500 lb 5 mph class against mostly IH guys (tractors must be 1970 or older). I usually finish towards the bottom of the class. Will a 4010 respond as well to an upgraded pump, lines, injectors, and turbo as the 4320's in the videos?

I like the thought behind this post. The main thing I see wrong with hooking them both to the same tractor is that a lot of the pulls I go to the scraper tractor backs up several times throughout the pull. He is usually backing up when filling in the holes that the tractor leaves at the big end of the track.

Here is a link to the 2015 payouts by class. I assume the 2016 payouts are similar, unfortunately I couldn't find the 2016 numbers with a quick search.

I don't mind the thumbs up/down. Although the new color scheme is hard to read compared to the old style. I'm okay with new colors just maybe something non neon.

It is insane that a guy who obviously works for/with the organization offers explanation and asks for suggestions, and the first two responses are just blowing smoke.
He is looking for constructive criticism/ suggestions, not bs.
