I agree that there are way too many classes and most look alike going down the track. Like said depends on sled settings. I've been pulling and a fan since the 70's and until about 5 years ago I knew every class, local, state and national but not anymore. I have a cheat sheet now. Fans that know me and set with me ask what's the difference between each class because all the smokers

You can buy one built way cheaper than you can build one. Unless it's a current top East Coast contender you'll have plenty of work to get it competitive. Work and money. I bought a nice 466 Hot Farm that needed a roll cage and some other updates a few years ago. I would say I'd have to spend at least $20,000 to make it competitive in that series.
I just saw a IH Hot farm sell at

By seeing or at least knowing the facts about any pulling accident is a learning tool. Hopefully to keep such an incident from happening again. Hiding it under a rock helps no one. I've seen some nasty pulling videos that in the end helped the sport become safer. I've never seen it as a black mark against those involved.

I thought about buying the live stream to see Nut Case pull. Glad I didn't being it was cut off. Gee don't they like East Coast guys or what. Kris post a video on FB if you have one of your pull. Hope to see you in Bloomsburg.

Wasn't there a Preparation H that was 1/2 green and red in the late 90's? I saw it at Bowling Green in I think 97 or 98. Real nice job with the tractors. Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for the invite but we are in far Northeastern Pa. near Southern NY. border. We try to stay in a 100 mile radius. My grandson runs the tractor most of time. I fill in when he can't run it. Thanks again.

The original intent of this post was to get a feeling of running a combined class not to have a total rule discussion about the NTPA or any other club. I was talking about 466 Hot Farm brush pulls.
However, since the rules have been discussed about CS and a dominate tractor being an issue. I know the reasons for a dominate tractor as well as most of you. Rules have been tried in Hot Farm classes

Response to Buckeye: There was a private pull 40 miles from here that had a good range of classes. I've been told they just couldn't handle the cost of putting the pull on anymore. Smoke and speed came in and put a good pulls on in 2020 but went there way in 2021. They were there because there weren't many pulls in their normal areas of pulling do to covid.

Yes we ran a different cross over pipe when our cooler went bad . We put a bigger water tip on but it ran a bit hotter according to the data logger. We would have to get more fuel to run that way but looks like it may be the way to go at some point.
The true reason for my post was to get the feeling if starting a class of 466 Hot Farms in Northern Pa./Southern NY would be worth all drama. I woul

We ran with your club a few times pre 2021. It's a great class with a lot of Pro-Farms and 2 big blocks and it's anyone's guess who will be the top 3 tractors. I'd rather run in a 466 class for comparisons on how we are running. The altered farm class keeps us out with the rules your club has but we know and respect that very much. That is a super good class with some really g

I think the original thought was to keep the 619 out of a lot of classes but some 466's had P pumps too like a 4850. Some Super farm groups don't allow an Intercooler so there are lot of sand boxes out there. I knew when I asked the question it would get a lot of negative responses. Oh well it is what it is. We'll just play in the sandboxes we are allowed too. No big deal.

I agree the cooler is an extra item to maintain. I don't know why the east is so set on the A pump but it's been that way for a long time. We have pulled exhibition in the P-pump class and was of no threat to them. I guess in our case I didn't see it as a big deal. So other than running a P-pump then I guess we eliminate the cooler and then it would be ok to run with P-pumps.

What's the feeling of running a 466 with A-pump and intercooler in a P-pump no cooler class ? I've done some research and found the former Full Pull Productions used that rule in Western Pa.. We are in Northeastern Pa. and in an area that really has no organized 466 class. New York Hot farm runs P-pump. We really don't want to switch to a P-pump because that really limits us from r

Auction zip has been updated with that info. Click on RCP -auto zip above here. It's a real nice tractor. I'm not positive but I think Castner Performance in New York did some of the work on it. 2018 would've been the last time it pulled. If I can find a video, I'll post.

They also lost their parents and several other siblings with health issues. The 3 sisters were left with the dairy farm to run. They have finally decided to sell a portion of the equipment along with dump trucks etc. that Chris had. It was real tuff to handle the crop side of the operation. The ladies have sure done their best to keep their family's farming legacy going. God bless them.

I know you are talking about building power but some have talked about clutches. We run a Roush (spelling) wet clutch on an enhanced farm. It's a big project to put a dry clutch in a wet clutch tractor. We've had no issues with the clutch but did break the input shaft which took out some gears. We put a billet input shaft in and now will see where the next weak spot might be. I hope the

Just some thoughts on the sand pile. In defense of the sled settings. If you have tractors that are out of the events sled operating area it's hard to know their capabilities. In the case of Keystone the sled seemed to be set correctly but the track improved greatly by the end of the class. The tractors that hit the beach were the last few of the class.
You know ahead of time if an event ha
