Do not buy a D or E. I bought a brand new 6135E which is the 1st new tractor on this farm since 1960. I knew the E had less options than the M but was $20,000 less. I was getting used to it until we found out the hydraulics would completely go out on steep hills. My granddaughter was tedding hay for me, and I told her I would do the steep field. I'm glad I did, when I got to the end of the

I talked to them about our pressure fluctuating from 50 to 70psi and didn't get a very good answer on why. They seem in a big hurry on the phone. I might have caught them on a bad day.

What is the proper way to adjust a Wimer pusher pump? How do you know if you're getting full fuel to the injection pump? Running an A-pump if that matters. Thanks.

I totally agree with you Jake. Trumps ego could really hurt us for years to come if he runs again. His presence is a 3-ring circus this country does not need. I like Desantis and I think he has a clear following of all age groups. I'm in Pa. and this mid-term solidly showed voters here are tired of Hollywood type candidates like Oz and Trump. All the predictions showed a close race with Fett

Our home county fair track has spectators at least 150' away from the track. The bleachers are on top of a bank and there is a 4" fence at the bottom of the bank. Excellent visibility. The safest track we pull on. Most other tracks were built back when dead pulling was done. They don't have room to expand. A track in NY had a truck flywheel come into the crowd and that ended pulling the

Did you call and talk to Data Logger? I have their number if you need it. Never had a problem with ours but had some questions and I think his name was Dennis. He was very helpful. He said ours needs an update, but we haven't sent it our yet.

No horse in your game but 40+ years as a puller of farm stock and now hot farm/altered farm. Whatever farm stock etc. rules you make will mean nothing 3 years from now. A box turbo and rpm's are just the small part that can be policed. Cubes rarely can. So your 480 will be a 640 to the boys who can't stand not winning. This is true in all types of "farm" classes. Same with pumps. When a

Don't shift on the go will help save it too. Our tranny was modified, and we broke the input shaft and damaged some gears without shifting on the go. We have a Rausch (spelling) wet pulling clutch in ours and seem to be ok so far but was told by them we are at the limit on the clutch with HP. We put an Atlas billet input shaft and gears in ours. Another friend that pulls with us had the same

I can't answer your IH questions. ? What organization are you going to run with ? Talk to IH pullers in that organization. I've said it before-The Hot Farm classes have gone HP wild the last few years. We ran with a NY club last year and was 5th or 6th at 3 pulls out of 20+ tractors. Not now.

There was a 466 Hot farm pull this week and only 2 in the class. One from the NYHF club and us. The New York puller said numbers are way down from last year. I know there were over 20 that we pulled with in 2020. I know this class has gone the route of high $$$$. Other clubs had box turbo rules etc. to try to keep this class a semi affordable class for some of us that like just a little wheel spe

I agree that there are way too many classes and most look alike going down the track. Like said depends on sled settings. I've been pulling and a fan since the 70's and until about 5 years ago I knew every class, local, state and national but not anymore. I have a cheat sheet now. Fans that know me and set with me ask what's the difference between each class because all the smokers

You can buy one built way cheaper than you can build one. Unless it's a current top East Coast contender you'll have plenty of work to get it competitive. Work and money. I bought a nice 466 Hot Farm that needed a roll cage and some other updates a few years ago. I would say I'd have to spend at least $20,000 to make it competitive in that series.
I just saw a IH Hot farm sell at

By seeing or at least knowing the facts about any pulling accident is a learning tool. Hopefully to keep such an incident from happening again. Hiding it under a rock helps no one. I've seen some nasty pulling videos that in the end helped the sport become safer. I've never seen it as a black mark against those involved.

The original intent of this post was to get a feeling of running a combined class not to have a total rule discussion about the NTPA or any other club. I was talking about 466 Hot Farm brush pulls.
However, since the rules have been discussed about CS and a dominate tractor being an issue. I know the reasons for a dominate tractor as well as most of you. Rules have been tried in Hot Farm classes
