Re: NTPA Changing Rules at Ocala Pull - 3 years ago

If the promoter wants a 6500 class or 6250 they needs to stick with it not drive pullers across the country and change the rules it is know different than getting everybody there and saying we have a local with two turbos were going to let him pull no difference rules are rules bend one you may as well bend them all as morgan said if the rule had not been broken this would be know discussion 6250

Re: Would you rather watch this? - 3 years ago

That video shows one thing we have an economy hot rod class naturally asperated v/8 pretty much the same chassis except for 18.4 tires that sometimes hit 30 mph just shows how todays sleds could make all classes more bud jet friendly if restrictions were in place and still give the fan in the stands the same 30 mph 350 ft RUSH

Re: Bobby Hourigan, Kentucky - 3 years ago

Not sure he built the first one but one of the first .The old sled were a long drag sled weights would be piled on the sled and the heavier the class more weights would be added people would line up beside the track and step on the sled as it went by until enough stopped the tractor other tractors would also be parked on the sled for weight for the heavy classes. Now heres something funny for seve

Saw it happen already the sled owner no longer exist the Fair shut down for a couple years and when pulling came back to the fair the track was so far from the stands it sucked with so much power being produced now its a time bomb waiting to happen

Re: Solution is easy - 3 years ago

David Runckle KY started the class that every one went crazy over so when you guys decided to go with the class what was your reasoning to go 6500 ,All you guys say U want uniform rules .Looks like it would have been so easy to follow suite with the first 30 that was already out there 686s pulled 5500 diesel with 2 turbos and steal wheals so you wouldnt have been the guy who would have wanted 6

Re: How about a new type of competition - 3 years ago

The reasoning for the lighter weight was to keep the big engine spenders in check so a less exp 1000 horse tractor can still be competitive against a 1200 horse tractor and it works more weight means more traction that loves more HP
