Re: Ford Pullers read this!!! - 14 years ago
is the 300-i6 block compareable in physical size to the origanal engine in a 6000 ford.did the 6000 use a 220 cuin engine from the factory?also is the 300 a bolt in for the 6000.by patches - Forum
Re: Ford Pullers read this!!! - 14 years ago
ed gortner might be of some help.he runs a 6000 in a na class in oh and in,there are some videos of him on you-tube .look under na antique tractors it is a link from a lot of other videos, there are 3 of them.by patches - Forum
Re: Ford Pullers read this!!! - 14 years ago
wwithin the last few years, hot rod magazine, had a couple of pics and a small article about the 300-6 being used in a roadster for drag or land speed racing.the article stated that the engine used a aluminum aftermarket head and manifold.the head was not a one off homemade, but a production piece.also offy made a intake for this motor.both of these might be worth looking into.by patches - Forum

Re: New Market, Iowa - 14 years ago
doesn't bg have thier tarps at trackside,no matter what the weather is.when it rains they walk down and pull it out.ive been there on tue and wed and i think the tarps were there just in case.by patches - Forum
Re: New Market, Iowa - 14 years ago
the facility needs to supply the tarp.the track could very well need covered prior to the event.bg coveres both tracks if rain starts, have seen it done many times, and it has saved a few sessions, and made many pullers and fans happy.by patches - Forum
Re: facilities at BG - 14 years ago
at the front of the campgrounds there is a block building, probably 6 stalls in it,on back in the campgrounds,i think by the ditch, there is a trailer with showers in it.i havent been in the trailers for years, they always were clean.both places always had hot water though.up on the grounds there are a few places to shower also, maybe 3 stalls in the little bld,and 6 in the newer bld.if your showerinby patches - Forum

Re: Projected # of vehicles at Bowling Green - 14 years ago
i think this would be a golden opportunity for region and state pullers to step up and compete for a win at bg.might see a lot of different iron there, now that the top dogs in a few of the classes will not be there.how many remember when goodrich showed up with super john and got to wins, when ntpa scheduled bloomsburgh on top of bg.by patches - Forum
Re: Delander's get beat at Elk River, Mn - 14 years ago

Re: Question of the day - 14 years ago
at my local fair, the garden tr guys, pay 10 dollars for everyone who comes gate, then they have to pay 7 dollars to join a club for the day, then they pay a 6 dollar hook fee to pull, cost the driver 23 dollars dollars to hook.1st pays out 30,2nd pays out 20,3rd pays out 10.all this while they are the mornings show in the main arena.kinda a local joke to say the least.by patches - Forum
Re: Smoker Series SS question - 14 years ago
auen has the new one,im sure youve seen a pic of it,but previously pulled a 6030 in the combo class(junkyard dog) .hildenbrands pulled a 6030 (slow walkin john) and a small block that i believe was unnamed.6030-ps,sm bk-lp or sf of some kind.by patches - Forum

Re: IH 826 with a RD on alky with a turbo - 15 years ago
i would hope this combo would turn 4th high with 18.4's on.on yt it was 34in rubber at that.i pass on a narrow front and you will be putting on a wide one.also save your feet some ache and use a steel flywheel and sfi clutch.if it sounds good at the start i've never seen anyone not bend the throttle lookin for a good ride.probably a rev limiter would be a good investment in this situatiby patches - Forum
Re: IH 826 with a RD on alky with a turbo - 15 years ago
search the for sale page,a guy on there offers kits to install these in chassis.he's in pa.a 826 will make 7500 easily, and i would highly recomend some type of wide front end for this application.by patches - Forum

Re: 7500 na / keeping up with mm - 15 years ago
in northeast oh.there is a 2255 in 7500 n/a,the driver name is kuchenbecker?,it holds up,has planitaries also.the bad medicine white, and donaldsons white both used 2255 rears in uss and held up fine.by patches - Forum
Re: 7500 na / keeping up with mm - 15 years ago
i'll have to plan a nice vacation after viewing thier schedule.i enjoy watching this class,it has a good variety of "i built this myself" tractors in it.not to many cookie cutter designs in it.one of the most intriguing tractors i saw at tri-state was owned buy a fellow who's last name was chew?,it was a 203 massey-harris,powered by a 427 flathead continental, that was converted to ohv bby patches - Forum
Re: 7500 na / keeping up with mm - 15 years ago
i live on the oh-pa line, this class was very big in western pa and eastern oh,in the 80's and up into the early 90's.although it was somewhat limited and closed minded,it was very popular.looking back this is what many considered killed it.it started out with the usual ol-88,ih-560,a few mm,a d-21,4010-d,ih-m,190-ac,1850-ol-gas,1150-mf,and e few others i can't remember.the wt was 5by patches - Forum
Re: 7500 na / keeping up with mm - 15 years ago
the oliver/cat would be my choice also, with ng heads.636 might be enough cu-in to,if the heads flow decent.where does this case pull at,i couldn't imagine other pullers in this class ok'ing a 855 cummins in a case.is there any video's of the case or the na massey anywhere,i can't seem to find any.by patches - Forum
Re: 7500 na / keeping up with mm - 15 years ago
are you refering to tim drake,a diesel.i think a diesel would have a very hard time in this class.local to me in oh there is a 2255 in a 75na modified class,it runs very good for a na diesel, but cant get away from a good 301 in a 560,or kings cockshutt 570/crossflow.by patches - Forum
