While I fully support personal freedoms, the one thing that most likely the driver behind this and most rules is the agency/company that is insuranceing the NTPA and any other organization. The last thing they want is having to payout a huge insurance claim. Unfortunately that the real world that we live in.

Maybe a couple new PS, maybe a couple LSS but the biggest newbie will be 4.1 and Lt PS is my guess. I would think same Open SS/DSS. A couple different TWD and SF. But 90% will returnees.

Just wondering what classes have different rules that does not allow pullers from going between organizations? I know SF is one and PPL does not allow buckets in the TWD class.

been around: I could not agree with you more. Certainly there is room for entertainment during the pull, however turning pulling into just another reality show is NOT what the sport needs. Pulling is a legitimate motorsport. The competitors are pulling to win the event and also to win a championship. Pulling does not need to be the WWE

What will NTPA or PPL add for a national class and what will be the class that they drop? Will NTPA and PPL add the same class. My guess is Lt.PS added and Open/Unlimited SS dropped. Just a guess.

I know that there is always an effort to bring in new fans to the sport . Some of the things that work well is the visual aspect of the vehicles. Seeing a 4/5 engine mod or a TWD with amazing graphics is always a fan favorite. And mini's, PS, Diesel FWD are some of fans favorites. The raw HP is like no other motorsport. However some of the show can be slow and difficult to understand. SO w

DD. I have to agree that Badger State and OSTPA have a pretty good PS class. Not sure of any other organizations that have decent numbers in the class.

I think that the statement that pulling has to many classes needs to be looked at. It's really a 2 fold issue. Yes, at the national level I have to agree, we don't need to add anymore classes to an already confusing mixture of classes. While I understand that when an organization has multiple event back to back they need to have enough vehicles (classes) to fill several shows at the sa

Why did the rule for SF have to start out at 640 cubic inches? What was the reason to not start out at 550 or so?

I have to agree with localpuller. No hooded tractor class should ever been greater than 550 cubic inches.

For me and I realize that there is a lot of support for this rule, however I'm not one of them. The worst rule was the " any sheet metal, any engine ". I believe that the rule killed the one thing that pulling had going for it, brand loyalty. Not many true fans really believe that most cross dressers are anything but either BBJD or SBJD.

Jim I view it like letting men play in women's sport. What seems like a great idea to a bunch of lost liberals turns out to shaft the other 99% of REAL women that make up their respective sport. It's the same thing to me, you have chosen one class of people {pullers} that are getting special treatment. I realize my opinion is way out side the issue here but to me what is fair is fair. N

A couple things that I have been thinking about lately. Tractor pulling did great for years staying out of the "tire" issues that has plagued the other motorsports in the US. Now it seems that tires have become a major problem in several classes, why? There is no need for this self made problem. The tire issue is simple, stop making it so complicated. First, for every class have two basic measu

The problem is the placing of the NTPA points chasers. If the put the NTPA group first and the track goes away then any pullers that hooks after the points chasers has little chance of winning the ring. If the opposite happens then the points chasers have little chance either. Putting one group of pullers in a block, either first, last or middle can very easily change the ring winner.

I listened to 2 of the pod casts and I enjoyed their views on the NTPA rules. I believe Chase was very vehement on the rule for certain classes that have more than 25 entries. The plan is to group all the NTPA competitors that are running for points into 1 group somewhere in the class. This rule is not only confusing to the fans and in a big event like BG can totally change the race for the ring

Well, I don't think that there is a connection with 4 extra lugs and cubic inches. I'm not really sure that having 48 lugs or 52 really matters. However an extra 150 cubic inches over the rest of the class might be considered a unfair advantage.

At the risk of some people saying that I'm always against the NTPA I will pose my post with a few questions. 1, Should the NTPA be concerned with the number of lugs on a tire, be it. 48 or 52 or any amount of lugs the pullers want have? 2, Is the NTPA micro managing the pullers choices? 3, Should the NTPA outlaw a certain brand of products that the pullers can use? 4, Should NTPA just giv

The Original. I agree with you completely. In fact it's pretty amazing that the NTPA can run 25 different classes in a 2 session one day event. I think the Enderle Memorial is so unique that it's really a "one of a kind" shows. And after more research I see that some classes have 3 competitors and some classes more.

There are a few bucket list events in pulling. Naturally the Bowling Green show heads the list, along with the NFMS.
Others that come to mind are the Hillsboro Charity Pull, the show in Farley along with some others. However the Enderle Memorial event is a very unique show. Not only does the NTPA run 13 classes of their top 3 Grand National place vehicles in the evening show, they run the 12
