Jake,
My dad, Audie Ribble, bought it from the Hayes'. We rebuilt the sheet metal & frame and ran it in ITPA SS for a few years. We called it the Daydreamer. We then sold it and the guy changed it over to run ITPA's 85LP for a short while. It was then sold it to a guy in Michigan, if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure the strong running LLSS, Case of Alcoholism, is still

Make sure the turbo has a carbon seal on the compressor end of the shaft. If it uses a piston ring seal on the compressor end, it will suck oil out of the charger when the butterflies shut in the carb.

If they have the helicoil thread insert in them, they should be M14x1.5....if the helicoil has been removed, a M16x1.5 should work.

I'll second that. Smith Bros. are very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and quick to get your parts to you.

The tech time diesel timing lights are good ones and can usually be found as new surplus items. Just make sure it comes with the light and the line pulse clamp sensor.
I'm sharing the link for reference, it's not mine.

The bottom of P3000 pumps have a flat steel plate on them.
The bottom of P7100 pumps just have bores with freeze plugs in them.

What bore and stroke are the good running Deere guys using in their 466 cubic inch, open rpm, 3x4 charger, and p-pump? Just wondering if the stock 4.56 bore and 4.75 stroke works.

I'm looking for the start time and for entry & pit fees for the pull in Decatur during the Farm Progress Show. Are they pulling all classes both days or are they split up? I went to whatssmokin's website and there was little detail about this pull. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,

Thanks J&R Machine! I hadn't given any thought to making them fit any cylinder. That's a great idea. I was planning on milling the pockets .100" larger than the valve head and deep enough to have about .080" of clearance under the valves. Does that sound like enough room? Thanks again!

I have to mill my pistons for some extra valve clearance on my SBJD puller. Does anyone know the location of the intake & exhaust valves from the bore center? I can measure it once I get my motor apart, just thought I'd ask to see if anyone would share it with me so I can start doing the program for my cnc machine.
Thanks,
Dusty

Who's planning on going to the pull at Gateway (Madison, IL) on Saturday, 6/27/2015?
If you plan on going, what class are you pulling and what's your vehicle?

We bought some like these off of eBay. You don't have to worry about losing the clips because they're self contained.

Thanks Buckeyecrewcab! That's exactly what I was thinking I needed to do, just wanted to verify it before we started cutting on the housing. I was mainly concerned with weakening the housing, but I think it will be fine. I appreciate the help.

I can access the nuts on the stands through the hole that #29 covers in the image, but I'm not able to get to the adjusters for the stands.
Maybe Awesome Johhny is running a smaller diameter clutch than what I have?? Not sure what the actual diameter of mine is, but the clutch housing is pretty full!
I'll try to snap a picture of mine, to show how tight it is, tonight or tomorr

Just wondering how others adjust the clearance on a Crower clutch while in a 4020? Do I need to cut an access hole in the bellhousing? Or are we going to need to split it every time we need to adjust it?
Thanks in advance!
