Dad had motto that he taught me.
Every honest man thinks that every man is honest. Every dishonest man thinks every man is dishonest. Some were entitled brats as children and never grew out of it.. Some suffer with a very inflated ego.

Welcome to the pulloff page. Great to see some new blood entering the sport. I would not spend a pile of money on the H engine, just make it run as good as the stock engine can. See how others are building weight brackets and hitches and try to improve on them. Enter the antique classes knowing that it will take some time to be competitive. When you decide its time to go for more power

masks can not contain or control a virus, - like chicken wire to keep out bugs, or a screen door on a submarine, come on people wake up, fake B.S. is rampant, and very fluid.A mask might help your spit from going far, but after it is saturated - I wonder how much. And all you people thinking a wipe helps kill it, read the labels, if not on the surface for 3-4 minutes it is only a small pot

I agree with Dick. Living “way out west “ I am out of the heart of pulling country by a long way. But I still enjoy fabrication of pulling tractors. This site has helped connect me to a ton of pull knowledge. As in many other sites there are some that can be negative and hurtful to others. The best thing we can do is just be nice to our pulling brothers and sisters.

I bought a IH tractor that was built in Iowa or Indiana, The cage mounting job was poor at best. 1/8" differential cover plate and minimal gusseting. If the tractor had ever gone on its lid I have no doubt that the cage would have tore loose at its mounting. I do not know who built the tractor or what club it pulled with, but someone should have teched this tractor out of competition . Need

My 39 M overhaul was stockstroke and a .030 bore Aries pistons. The stock cam an extensive porting. Ported intake and a hotmagneto. Premium gas and ran 75 hp easy. I know that there is 150hp available with a stroker valves and cam.

That’s how my new build will be

This is a lesson for me. My cage mount gets completely redesigned. Gonna mount to the cast with more gussets. And tie the base to the tube frame.

If your association allows it a water-methanol mix in your water injection will give you a very noticeable bump in power. There is a reason methanol is illegal in most clubs.

One thing that you have to overcome with water pressure is the manifold pressure. If your water pump is 250 psi and the manifold has 50 psi your real water pressure going into the manifold is 200 psi. This is not enough for a proper for atomization to happen. When you faze change water from a solid (ice) to a liquid and from liquid to a vapor you have the largest temperature change possibl

So far it looks as though a aftermarket block and head is a smart move. I did not know that the 6.7 is a Siamese bore block, that makes the choice easy.

Thanks for the information, I was considering filling the block, Should the head be filled also? I assume that doubling engine oil pan capacity will be essential. At what point does the engine oil pump need to be updated?

As Keith said, Water will decrease cylinder temperatures. UNLESS you are running alcohol with the water. Alky water is not legal in most clubs. If you run more than 50% methanol with water you will melt pistons. ( Dont ask how I know this)

Maybe I have way too much extra time on my hands. Pondering if extrude hone would be an advantage on a stock cast iron diesel exhaust manifold? Seems that the smoother surface would speed up exhaust flow some.
