We rebuilt my father's 350 with stock bore with firecrater's, fresh valve job no porting, carb work,or governor work done, just stock farm tractor. We ran on dyno and she pulled down 45 HP and we were about 150 rpm lower than rated rpm, so yes it is possible for cheap $. Open the carb up an get it to run @ 2500 rpm and you should be close if not more than 50 hp easily.

There is a set on Ebay now for $1650 I think. HPH Tractor Parts has them. They are billet aluminum, just not sure if they are for a 300 or 400 series DT.

This Stray Horse you all are talking about, is it Mark Hayes piloting it? If so I saw him pull Sunday at Hebron Fair in Conn. Had some issues and a small fire, went back to truck did some tweeking and came back out later on, but I guess he's been having some issues tuning it, again I'm sure it's not the run he wanted, but he was out there.

from what i hear they used to build light supers with the 666 - 686 rears. Talked to a good friend of mine before the purchase about what i wanted to do and he tells me not an issue. He is a very knowledgeable and reputable IH man so I'm taking his word, and like i said it is almost a bolt in unlike the 560 where there is alot of custom parts to be fabricated. I'm inside the rear on min

Everything here sounds good, and what I've learned is if you find a 666 or 686 with a D 312 in it you can use the front and rear engine plates off of the 312 on either a DT 360 or a DT 466. It is a fairly easy swap as not many custom parts are needed which save on $ and lets you invest back into the engine to get what you want out of it. Eventually i want a P pump for it, however not sure on the cc's to run or injector combination to go with pump. I want to make decent power but be reliable, run @4000 rpm with the 3lm charger that i already have. The 466 i have has been balanced, however i have not ran it yet, just bought it. I'm trying to do this on a budget this year because i am building the tractor now and have othe

How well will a Bosch MW pump on a DT466 work? Can you get good power numbers out of it or would an A or P pump be better. I have the MW now and would like to use it for now if I could, I've heard @ 500 hp out of it for not to much money just not sure if the source is reliable. Is there anything I could do to it myself or should a pump shop just do it? Any help is appreciated, thanks

hi guys, was wondering if a DT360 truck head was better than a d312 or d360 tractor head. I've heard different opinions and mine would be the DT360 head would be the choice. thanks
