Wow. And you are running a 656 rear/trans at 8000#? What have you done to make that last?

Call Atlas. They wiil make you a top and bottom gear the same width. bsd- you run a 656 in a heavy super class? What engine are you using?

Fourth gear would be better if it's wider and the teeth have a different degree of pitch. Give Atlas Tractor a call they can help you. Also have some sort of a lock to keep the gear in place. Bill- What rearend/trans are you using?

Re: CMP - 13 years ago
Wow! Name calling and everything! I simply stated facts and boy do you get wound up! If more people had open minds and used good common sense all groups would have better participation. I see this is going no where. This pulling all seems like foolish pleasure to me! That is why I changed my hobby four years ago and bought a fishing boat!

Re: CMP - 13 years ago
#1- Demo derbies dont even compare cost wise with the cost of putting on an NTPA pull (at least the ones at county fairs in MN). #2- Ottertail is a good show. But you are a bit uneducated on the cash flow situation. Wanna bet? #3- I never see huge numbers anywhere with good quality units.

Re: CMP - 13 years ago
Local fairs don't have the cash to put on your super duper high dollared low numbered hooks. Second of all you take your $8,000 tires and run em on those tracks and you'll decide real fast that ain't gonna fly. Third supposedly Ottertail hasn't cash flowed yet and your rosie rose bed isn't smelling so sweet. And finally not everyone wants to be part of and/or see your fan

Re: CMP - 13 years ago
How would CMP merge or go pull with someone else? If they can't make rules so they can win most of the time they will never show up(hence forth only 1-3 tractors in a class). I'm not sure any pulling group would put up with that. It's best they stay right where they are!

Wow! That would be huge. The two mods and two diesels from CMP already pull with CPS! Gain what?

Wow! Thats a bit harsh! But somewhat true. When you make a whole bunch of rules (to get rid of your competition) and its down to having 1-3 rigs in your class thats what I call protecting yourself. What fun is it to call your buddy on the way home and tell him you got first and you were the only one in the class? You might as well stay home and hook it to your freedom flyer (little red wagon)!

I can't understand why you would need two classes. Bring em, pull em and have fun. What is there to be scared of? Numbers, competition and getting beat once in a while is a good humbling experience (that is the issue, isn't it?).

Today long time puller Gary Pfeiffer of Vergas, MN passed away. Gary pulled in the NTPA in the 80's, Central MN Pullers and Red River Pullers for many years. He competed for over forty years! Gary was one of few pullers to successfully pull a twin turbo charged IH560 DIESEL! He will be sadly missed.

Where can I find a turbo adapter for a T 04 to the bigger foot size (T 08 ect.)? Someone said Oliver used them?
