Fairvalley or scheids regular 550-570cc pumps are plenty enough to run a 3x3 if that’s what you’re looking for. But like farmstockish said, the big rotaries are hard to come by, as I also believe the parts are scarce. Even when they do make them, there’ll only be a couple at a time usually with someone’s name already on them.

Quoting MLP:
-The ISSPRO instruction sheet does not specify in writing where to mount the 2 magnets other than 180* apart…. Although the diagram provided suggests that the magnets be mounted on the OD of the balancer, rather than the face??? I’m not sure what instructions you’re referring to, as I just looked to make sure I didn’t install incorrectly.

I’ve seen quite a lot put through them. Big motors big roosa good size charger. But once you slap an in-line pump on, you’re riding on “when” not “if”…

No cons that I can say. Get what you pay for.. Reusable and last a lot longer, a lot has to do with the class you run as well. More needed for a higher hp application ie 4.1 vs a hotfarm. I hope you didn’t already cut the sleeves for fire rings..

What’s everyone’s opinion? Who’s fuel makes the most power, has the best incorporated lubrication, and doesn’t wreck a pump. Pure purple doesn’t make diesel anymore. What’s the next best choice?

Big boys toy is a 4.1 occasionally jumping to PS/SS class. The rest are exclusively PS. Hortons Lil less patience is the only component PS in NY. All hypermax I believe. I will have a PS coming out within a year or so (NY) and plan to run the GN circuit

Seems like they’d be in 19:1 easily, running 18:1 most the time and maybe 17:1 on a loose track. I know budget people running 20:1 and 19:1 with a 1/5 of the money spent in the motor vs someone who went all out only to gain another tooth. Hmmm

I tried bio-power from Salenbien and lost low end torque… can’t say if I gained top end HP though. A little disappointed but should’ve known since bio diesel BTU is lower than petrol diesel

Has anyone tried both? Pros and cons? Are prices for either justifiable, or should I stick with farm fuel and additives.

For starters, how does the weight and size of a harmonic balancer impact the vibration
and torque output of a diesel? Is bigger always better (weight and diameter), if the crank
nose can handle it? I’ve been thinking about running a big semi truck balancer, something
with the diameter bigger than 12.5”...
