Was told the titanium wheels may even destroy the compressor housing, adding to the shrapnel.
There's several stock Holset turbos that come with titanium intake wheels. Those turbos also use a cast iron intake cover rather than cast aluminum! Titanium does not bend/flex very well and when it does it typically explodes!

I actually just got a couple of videos from a gentleman today of my passes at some Northeast Ohio pulls. At these events I went past the 350' full pull mark going quite fast. The crowd seem to love it even though I was driving one of those cookie cutter twin Hemi tractors that was pulling a sled what some people seem to think is a very light weight sled. Even though I

There's a ton of variables on the old style pullers, their build date, how far they are cut down, etc. We've had 10 ply old style pullers that weigh between 350 and 400 for just a tire only.

QuoteDoug RobertsThe light axle housing you are looking for end with the cast part number on the axle housing of 010R. They were made the first year in 1960 and are hollow square on the inside and weight 75 lbs. each lighter than the later ones that were round on the inside like the axle. I have about 6 sets but you should be able to find some close to you. Best luck is on Propane or gas powered

If you get a blanket from Security Race Products (SRP) tell them you want it about 6" longer than their standard IH measurement of 78" (it needs to be about 84" in length or it will barely overlap)!

You can run a cast tractor in any DSS, PS, or LSS class that allows components. You can not run just a cast rear end (remove the clutch housing or transmission housing completely and run just the rear end), that is not legal in a component class.

11" in an Ag chassis with a 4 disk setup, mine was on alcohol, but ran 6 seasons, changed disks & floaters twice in 6 seasons. Be ready to adjust the clutch about every 3 runs or so.

Call Darrin Rursch, he'll steer you in the right direction. If you don't have a flywheel already, I'd lean towards 12.5" for lower maintenance.

Also, in that session there was a diesel at 283' and another alcohol at 281'. So 1st to 4th were 10 feet apart with two diesels (1st & 3rd) and two alcohols (2nd & 4th).

Outlaws already mix the fuels together as well as give the diesel a chance with a 640 cubic inch motor as well.
The 300' track makes no difference to me honestly. I've won at 294' distance and my uncle's diesel tractor has won at 350' as well. The diesel has a better shot at winning on a shorter track, as a heavier sled slows the alcohol's ability to over power

You need the variety in the class. Alcohol vs diesel creates a huge crowd "rivalry" and drives some excitement. ALL the organizations need it. An alcohol tractor on a slick track will have an advantage, it can over rpm and has more drivability than the diesel. The diesel on a real good hooking track, if it has enough front end weight to control it and the sled is set for 300' tops, will

Outlaws & Nebraska Bush Pullers both allow a similar combination in their cast iron light super class. You can run a 640 cubic inch single charger diesel in the class (Outlaws limit them to a 4.1" turbo & Nebraska Bush limits them to a 4.8" turbo).

If you look at last years (or any years) West Liberty results, you will see that show has always been low in turn out. 21 hooks last night, 25 hooks in 2016, 29 hooks in 2015.
