You did turn the leaf spring down right!not being a smart ass, just asking.the metering valve screw on the outside shld be backed all the way out.when you have the cover off you can see the metering valve. You don't want it to hold it back any.

We have a 436 in our 1086.the pump is wide open,275 HP.we pull a 881 with 3 row head.like wyatt said put a pyro on it.the engine will handle it fine.if you're going to put a bunch of weight on it and tie it to the ground is where you're going to run into drive train failures eventually.

If you haven't replaced the MCV pump that more than likely is you're prblm.the hand pumps hardly ever have prblms other than leak once and a while.66 series do not have the steering valve on top of the ta housing like 06&56 series.you try bleeding you're brakes also.

Check you're priority regulator valve and steering relief valve.have you checked any pressures anywhere.steering is priority. It gets all the oil first then brakes then ta then lube.another thing are spindles loose.jack it up and c if you can turn them easy.

Another thing you can try is when you have the injectors out.take a rubber tip blow gun and blow air in the hole.u might be able to hear where it might be coming from also.

Well said.I don't think they cost near as much as a sf.you dont need a billet stroker crank for one.u dont need to go to the dyno to try to gain 10hp.the turbos are pretty close in price and r more durable.just my thoughts.we built one for a friend and he didn't have anywhere near a 100,000 grand in it.he did by a complete engine that only had a few runs on it.that helped quite a bit.yo

Stock static timing is 8 degrees and the pump has a 12 degrees advance.you're total timing is 20 at full fuel then.so u really don't need to go anymore if everything is stick other than being turned up.we run our 12's in the field stockntimeing with the pump wide open.they run good.
