Maybe we should all ask how this all came about. From what I understand, is block was voted down until after 2023 season for vote. Then WPI overruled and decided to let it in. This was to help and advance the class. Right? It has nothing to do with a board member owning a pair of them would it? I mean surely the self interest of one wouldn’t be put in front of others right?

No DSS at that pull, if they get 10 of them that’ll be worth the trip alone

It’s been a red-green show for 20 years, if don’t have a red or green hood on it, it’s most likely got IH or JD motor in it.

Bad Medicine definitely should be at or near the top of this conversation.... but it was NOT a component chassis. It still had a cast tractor rear-end housing.
Speaking of that... the Barnyard beast was so controversial that it wasn't allowed to hook in Tomah the season the 8000 series hood debuted. It was built to the absolute limit of the rules and nobody really knew

Just call them and ask for Jeff

It’s not Hypermax, it’s his own creation with D&R parts. It’s a different combination for being 540 than most run. I talked with him at TPC last year. He’s a really nice guy to visit with

So how long has DSS been dead? 20 years? 30 years? Why is it that PS ‘has to be fixed’ because the BBJD might take over the class, but I’ve never heard any proposals to resolve the fact that the DT466 has absolutely ruled the SS classes for over 3 decades?
This is not the same comparison really, yes they’ve dominated ss classes for 30 years. What would you do just ban them, be

It’s too late to fix it now, the cubic inch limit has always been too big. It took 20 years but enough technology and billet parts has made the 680 BB Deere with its large bore and huge valves pretty dominate. It should have been 620 in my opinion. The 5” outlaw class will be the premier single charger class within 5 years, a good portion of the 4.1’s will jump up and you’ll

Kinda ironic that people are finally realizing the class is in trouble. I said it was going to be in the same boat as DSS and that’s beginning to look more evident every year. Even Shultz gang of experts have started realizing that.

DSS is one of the worst classes in pulling, still full of the same bunch of cry babies that got the classes separated in the first place. I can not figure out why any promoter would book DSS so the same 6-8 IH's show up that have for the last 30 years. Should they put the classes back together? Yes! Will they? probably not and I hope DSS dies a slow, pitiful death.

I'd leave the ss classes alone,if the diesels wanted to pull against the alkys they can at any time pretty clear they don't want too.the idea of putting it back together is based solely on ross being somewhat competitive one season.
Somewhat competitive? That’s a good one

Perhaps if they were to build a vehicle that meets the rules of other organizations, they could pull at more places.
If you build a 7th grader truck, you can only play with the 7th graders.
Their toy, they can build it the way they like.
Just don't expect rules to change to accommodate one truck.
This truck is hardly a 7th grader truck! They obviously built it to r

As a puller, here is my take. People in the pits is ok...They come around and look things over.
Nowhow i really feel. Truck and cars are a no in the pits....It is so frustrating to have pickups lining the track and if something was to go wrong....those people are dead...but with a waiver (that does no good when you are dead)
Drive 4 hours to a pull, get there, pull....your
