Looking to put a double or triple disk clutch in a Jd 3010 clutch hsg. Is it possible? Who makes a good clutch for it? Thanks all.

Aside from the spline in the disc 3010 & 4010 clutches are the same. What type of clutch are you looking for (Crower or spring)? Do you need the SFI stamp?

My main concern is the depth. I just don't know if there is enough depth for a multiple disk clutch, I truthfully do not know what type of clutch I am looking for, other than I can not have a slipper clutch. I would like to also go with a steel flywheel SFI is not nessisary but I would be interested in one. I am going to be installing a 466 into this rearend if i can manage to find a clutch that will hold. my goal is that i am going to be pulling in a 6500 pound open class. so that being said I am shooting for 6000 pounds empty weight. That is why I chose 3010 rear end because it sure looked lighter. thanks for your help.

kenny's pulling parts, tpp, atlas tractor in nebraska (i believe), molinari in california. Any of them should sell the parts you need.

but does any one know for a fact if the bell housing is deep enough for it to fit?

I have a 4 disc, 11" Crower in a 3010 clutch housing, so I'd say you should be able to put just about any 2 disc or most 3 disc in. I know the housing overall is longer than the 4010 but I've never measured to find out exactly where the extra lenght is.

ok glad to hear, is your 4 disk crower a slipper clutch of does it work just like a regular type spring clutch? anyone else have any input on this?
