I am building 9500 prO field p pump 3000 rpm tractor I am using a dt466 I have + head if it matters a big lifter block. Rules say I have to use a gt4202 3 inch box turbo Push in slugs may be used.Or a Alternate turbo may be used but can only have a 2.75 inlet with no slugs.466 cubic inch limit. My question is what pistons, and head work need to be done. I see alot of them just go down the track and fall under turbo when the sled hits any info be real nice thanks |

You really need to give Vinny a call, he's the top guru with the T-04 type of classes! Don't have his # however I'm sure someone on here does. |

Alot of tractors get under the turbo when they try to run crazy tall gears.
I would think you'd want a little bit of head work, and depending on the cam you use for 3000 RPM class, the valve relief cuts in the pistons. I was told the older truck pistons or tractor pistons would be the way you want to go. Are you required to run a slug? You said it was a 2.75 inlet rule? |

Not required to run slug if it's a 2.75 turbo or a Gt4202 3 inch box turbo |

I'd run the GT 42. Avoid the slug if you can...I hear the GT is a pretty good charger. |
