Top Cut Tires November 10, 2011 01:02PM
I am going to pull our Oliver 77 in the new NATPA D2 top cut class (4000 thru 5500#), I have never runs cuts before, any idea if all were equal (hitch etc) how much more weight to run on the front? Any other suggestions or comments?

Thanks
Rich

A fresh sharp set of top cuts on a formerly D2 tractor will need more nose weight, and that will vary from tractor to tractor. Its going to be trial and error; I suggest that any NATPA pull you go to take advantage of any test and tune time they have, you can cure a lot of ills quickly. D2-T is going to be a very good addition to the NATPA, it has already shown some early welcome popularity.
