Re: pulling league being formed February 20, 2012 10:28AM
To add to this, basically the meeting will introduce the bylaws, what the club has in mind as far as rules that co-inside with whats going in in P.A.,N.Y.,and bordering states. This meeting will have a membership sign up where you pay your dues of $100 for a puller membership,$45 for associate membership.Basically, associate member has no voting rights as far as competition rules but can vote on all else.So that being said, please show up,sign up and lets get this pulling league started.

ditto on knowing rules and tractor classes

Re: pulling league being formed March 08, 2012 11:13PM
We will, from what I understand,be running WNYProFarm rules for the tractor classes. Also there is a meeting 3/11/12 at Fonda fire dept at 4p.m. for all interested.

Re: pulling league being formed March 09, 2012 02:50AM
I will not be able to make the meeting, but 540 ci rules out the 6030's that were there in the fall, and i believe there is a third that may have interest. I understand you wanting to have a level playing field, but with tractors in this area the hotfarm/altered farm are all over the map as far as setups go. My vote, no cube limit, 3x3 turbo, no rpm limit,

Re: pulling league being formed March 09, 2012 03:15AM
i believe thats pretty much super farm . from what i seen is make i set of rule 504 or 540 or its goin to get out of control . make a set of realistic rules and they will come . your idea 6030 has been tried and doesnt work. sorry just because you are that big doesnt mean anthing for a club that level yeou need smaller cid to get the numbers. ask wny guys . just my 2 cents

Re: pulling league being formed March 09, 2012 05:38AM
And to add to the last post, the club will not start altering rules to fit "what has been done in the past".The true reason for this club being started is to, #1, Get away from what has been done in the past.We want to get away from being just another brush pull. The only way to rise to the next ranks as a competitive league is to conform to what other clubs, I.E. WNYProFarm, are doing. They seem to have it together club wise and are pretty successful. And wouldnt it be nice to look at a schedule for pulling in N.Y.S. and pick as may as you want to go to with out any hassle about your set up.I dont care who you are, from workstock gas all the way up to a pro farm tractor, you will be able to pull across the state with one setup and tune that set up to get the win.Just my thoughts. Tom

Re: pulling league being formed March 09, 2012 08:16AM
EXACTLY SWAMPY . WNYPROFARM DOES HAVE A GOOD THING GOING

Re: pulling league being formed March 10, 2012 12:29AM

anyone that would like to discuss setting tractor rules and classes that will fit in with other clubs in the area give me a call anytime. MVPPL tractor director, thanks Rick 518-866-5681

Re: pulling league being formed March 11, 2012 10:43AM
It doesnt matter how many cubes you run you can still only stuff just so much air in and out of a 3x3 charger. There are alot of tractors across the north country that are above 540 cubes. Your already at a disadvantage with it being a new club, second disadvantage is you are at one location all the time, and most people with tractors that would go to these pulls have a schedule they run. I run the same pulls that the 6030 runs and its pretty much every weekend all summer long. Its been talked about to use western ny pro farm rules but those guys already run a full schedule too. There are a bunch of ih 640s around and a hand full of 570s and a few big small block jds. There are plenty of 466s around that run competitive with the big cube motors. And seriously its not like its ntpa, were all out pulling to have fun and like it or not those 6030s draw the crowd in.

Re: pulling league being formed March 12, 2012 02:18PM
A valid pt. about the 3x3, but if you wanna be like "superfarm" with-out restriction??? Whats the pt. Sorry but a 800 cid with a3x3 is still gonna out torque everybody else. The problem comes in that if you want it to grow you have to be alot more realistic and fair. You guys could run a 6500lb 410 cid 2.6 turbo; and a 9500lb. 505cid 3x3turbo with intercoolers; and a 12,500 ( or 10500)open cid 3x3 turbo no intercooler ,and if you limit 3x3s to gt 42 s that will level the playing fields and the 6500&9500 and anybody running the gt42 at 640cid or less could pull with either group. Would make a class foreveryone wouldnt it. Just a thought.

Re: pulling league being formed March 12, 2012 02:34PM
does anyone have any info on what truck classes are being run like a mod gas class

Re: pulling league being formed March 13, 2012 12:07AM
Workstock gas and diesel,a 2.6 diesel,a street mod gas,mod gas,and rwyb open to gas and diesel.8000lbs

Re: pulling league being formed March 20, 2012 01:25AM
What is going on with this? Do they have rules for each class posted somewhere? When and were will the pulls be?

Re: pulling league being formed March 20, 2012 10:31AM
Go on their face book page all info is on it. First pull is May 20 at Fonda NY

Re: pulling league being formed March 20, 2012 02:24PM
I do not have and will not have a facebook account.

Re: pulling league being formed March 20, 2012 11:38PM
What rules are you looking for? Specifically?

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 12:28AM
The modified gas FWD and the RWYB FWD, as well as details about the pulls, dates, classes, times, payouts....

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 04:10AM
Open gas follow ppl. RWYB 8300lb,DOT tires gas and diesel. No oxygen extenders.Open gas pay out is $400,$300,$200 as long as there are 7-8 trucks.RWYB payout $600,$450,$300 1,2,3.First pull is may 20th at Fonda. We will have a total of 6 hooks starting on the 20th and the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 05:05AM
So your payout for a PPL Mod FWD is $400, and your payout for a street tire diesel pickup is $600, that makes a lot of sense... So the guys that run in the mod FWD class can run in the RWYB class, but need to put smaller tires on?

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 05:23AM
Also, which PPL rules are going to be used? The ones that are used on th east coast and in NY, or the championship tour rules?

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 08:48AM
East coast and N.Y. Now,it seems as if you have an issue already. There has been no interest, thus far, about the mod gas class. We have no problem paying what it is worth for you guys to hook, and we want you to show up,but not with 3 and 4 trucks showing up for that money. And as for the RWYB class being more of a purse for "the we widdle diesel trucks with street tires", there is more of an interest with those guys in that class, and i think it will be more of a competitive class between the gas and diesel than you think. So,please by all means, come to a meeting, call me or the class rep, come support the club.Thats what its all about. We want that class to come put on a show.

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 02:44PM
How many vehicals do you really expect to come from 200-250 miles away for a $900 total purse? You never really answered my question, If I put DOT tires on can I run the RWYB class? Why not have a real RWYB class and just put a weight limit and a hitch height limit (much easier to enforce)? Is there any tire size limit? And for the record, your we widdle diesel trucks aren't gonna look so go when I throw some weight on and hook with them mark my words...

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 11:32PM
I did answer your question. DOT tires,26in hitch height(like it always is),no spray,8300lbs.

Re: pulling league being formed March 21, 2012 11:33PM
And please, bring 10 trucks and take our money.

Re: pulling league being formed March 23, 2012 02:51AM
swampy could you give me a call number is 607-336-7883 im interested would like to talk to you name is paul usuallyanswer until 8;30 or 9pm

Re: pulling league being formed March 23, 2012 01:03PM
Why only Gas & Diesel and not alcohol motors ??? Mite get a few more mod trucks interested, Afterall it is a RWYB class is it not??? Here is another thought. A 6500 lbs. mod truck with bar tires is very competitive agenst a 8000 lbs. Diesel on street tires.

Re: pulling league being formed March 23, 2012 03:08PM
OMG, look guys you all better wake up! This is a group who are just starting and already everybody wants this or that. Tom stick to your guns and dont get to spread out with your classes.(5 classes of trucks is a plenty) I do agree about the purse structure- needs to be spread out a couple more places if you want to keep 10 guys coming to every event. The #$$ ache of being the one trying to make something happen!!!Good luck.

Re: pulling league being formed March 23, 2012 05:07PM
I agree

Re: pulling league being formed March 25, 2012 09:05AM
We will be talking about the purse structure at the next meeting im sure.As for the guys already bitching about the RWYB class, please come to a meeting and tell us what you want.ALL IS WELCOME!!!!!!!

Re: pulling league being formed March 26, 2012 12:59AM
