John Deere Brakes

Has anyone ever drilled holes in a stock JD 4020 brake disc ? If so , how many and what size hole. It seems like my brakes aren't as good as they should be. Thought maybe a few holes would remove some oil and help the brakes grab harder. |

Have you tried bleeding the brakes? |

If you are running the stock wet brakes do not do it. i tried it once the holes shredded the pads and it was a heck of a mess to clean up. |

Have you checked the brakes? Maybe they are shot. If pads are shot, they won't hold worth a darn. |

I am curious what size hole you drilled and how many ?
The brakes are bled well and the pads aren't new but in good condition. |

Had considered 5/16 holes maybe 8 to 12. We won't do it.
Thanks king. |

NO, but it would help to NOT having to use the brakes as much. Do you understand that? |

It helps all the way around. it will not take as much brake to guide it and also makes it go much straighter. Money well spent. |
